  1. 2003 996 C4S manual tranny...

Driving down road and PSM/ABS failure comes on. I checked the brake light fuse and it was blown, (changed fuse 15A and nothing, tested voltage at fuse got nothing when brake pedal pressed), switched the brake pedal switch (still nothing), checked bulbs (all good)...

Any other suggestions on what to test next. All other lights work, parking, hazard, etc...

    Thanks for the help....

  2. Since my key does not manually open the door (fits it but doesnt turn), i finally had to jack the car up, remove the wheel well housing and look for the trunk release cable. Once i opened the trunkthe alarm went off and i removed the battery for about 10 seconds. I then put the battery back and walah!?, the key fob works again...Can't explain it but now it works just fine... I read somewhere that Porsche goes into saftey mode after 3 days of non use, is this true? I have been trying to use it more often (usually only once a week).

  3. The key fob battery is good, tested on voltmeter. I unfortunately don't have a spare... Came with only 1 key... Pulled the shroud off of passenger wheel well and looked for cable to get into trunk, opened trunk and disconnected battery and put back on and wallah!!! key fob now works? I don't know why but i guess i "woke" the car up?

I need to get a spare key, but still wondering why this key does not open door manually or glove box. Could the previous owner change the ignition and key?

  4. I have a 2003 996 C4S. I'm new to porsche's and need some help. My key FOB was working fine and both lights blink for trunk and doors when i press them but nothing happens. The key does not open the door manually but it does start the vehicle and run it. The car is now locked and I cant get into it. How do i get into my car? How do i get a key that manually opens the doors. The key i have does start the car and open glove compartment but will NOT open doors or center console... Please help....

  5. Ok, i have done searches and tryed to sift throught the information about porsche springs and the different setups available. I am thoroughly confused, lol!!! I have a 03 996 C4S with front springs with orange white/blue markings and rear with orange green/pink coloring on it. I want to lower the vehicle and dont mind the rough ride, but mostly want to just drop the gap in the wheel well. I really just want to do springs since i dont race and drive only about 3 times a week. Which would be the best solution for me, row m030? H&R springs? Thanks for any help.....

  6. I am a newbie to Porsche's; I have a 2003 C4S with 19 front and rear wheels. Can I lower the vehicle without issues and how complicated is it? Do i need to realign after lowering and what other issues might i encounter? Any help would be appreciated..

It seems my porsche sits higher at front than rear and its kind of feels "floaty" on highway at front end...
