Thanks for the responses guys. I have tried it on 2 different cars and checked the connectors on the KTS card. I'm pretty short on options at this point so I think I will make up a shorter cable (current cables are 3 meters) to see if it might be related to signal loss or interference. I do have a ferrite suppressor at the KTS end of the cable but who knows.

Won't connect to any module. I'm using 2 different cables I made using your wiring diagram(thank you again!). It had been working and then I did not use it for about a year. Tried it, and now get the "System Not Found" error.

I'm having a problem with my laptop based PST2 that I wanted to see if anyone else had ever encountered. I tried a different laptop and different cable on 2 different cars(993) so I'm down to either the KTS card itself or something in the software is amiss. Basically, it will go through the whole scan and then say "System Not Found" after the scan is complete. I know there is some communication because if you leave the car off, the PST2 will prompt "Is the ignition switched on?" and then automatically start the scan when the ignition is switched to the second position. Any thoughts greatly appreciated!

You can build one with the following:
1) Untermianted J1962M OBDII cable, available from obd2cables.com
2) Honda connector PCSE20LB - $4.98 each, PCSE20FS - $3.54 each. Available from chriselectronics.com
However, I failed twice at deciphering how to wire everything up, and my soldering skills are not good. Tholyoak is an expert at this stuff and can give you more detail.
Do you happen to have the pinnouts for the 20 pin side?
