  1. No idea on what needs to be changed but measure the distance between the two mounting holes on the caliper.  Then measure the the stock 996 caliper.  If they are different (probably) then you will have to replace the wheel carriers.  You would probably want to use GT3/GT2 carriers as the turbo front carriers are set up for AWD.

Also I hope that you have 18" wheels or larger as 17's wont clear the caliper.

I have 18" wheels. I have to look into the wheel carriers. Doesn't someone sell turbo brake upgrade kits?

  2. Porsche won't fix my transmission do to the fact that my car was in an accident. It wasn't even a bad one, I was hit ligtly on the rear qtr. But, since I bought the car used, is the reason for not wanting to fix it. The transmission needs a 1st gear sincro. What does that have to do with a light hit on the rear qtr. The accident didn't even cause any structural damage it was just bonddoed and painted. I even took it to a body shop that the service manager told me to and they told me it was just cosmetic, no structural damage.

My question is, what is considered a bad enough accident to void your entire warranty?

Also, I was told that they can not rebuild the transmission it would have to be replaced. Is this true?

    Thanks
