  1. Use you (mechanical) key to lock the car. Then use your key to unlock the car. Then try to start it.

If that does not work... does the engine crank?

    Hej Loren!

The engine does not make a sound.

All other functions work on the car.

Hallo! I called the dealer first thing Monday morning and we found the problem.

It was the transponder inside the keyhousing, glad it was as simple as that.

    Regards Mika

  2. Hi

Do you find the car´s ride much more harder with 19" wheels?

I´m considering buying new wheels, and trying to decide between 18" and 19" ones.

I don´t want to shake my bladder too rigorously!

    Pls let us know

    Kare (terveiset Espanjasta)

Terve! No I dont feel any difference, but I think the handling was better with 18"

    Mika

  3. Porsche has never spec'ed 19" wheels for the 996 -- only the 997 (987, Cayman, 997GT3, and 997 TT).

For those wheels and the narrow body 997 they are:

    Front - 55 mm

    Rear - 67 mm

    with a 235/35 x19 tire in front

Thank you Loren This set got 52mm front and 65mm rear I will post pictures when i get the tyres

    Mika

  4. I am not sure I follow, Mika. Does the top open and close? Is the rear cover not fully closing? Is it the side flaps not completing the cycle up or down? This last one can mess up your top cycle and drive you crazy and it is an easy fix. Let me know or throw some pics, perhaps we can help.

    Izzy

Sorry Izzy, everything works fine except that the rear cover dont close/lock.
