Hi all, is there a write up on how to replace the module under the center console? I also have the 80BA crop up in the last week for my 2005 997 C2S.

A reasonable labour time to replace the cable by a experienced person is approx. 1.h 00 for a manual transmission and 1.h 30 for a Tiptronic.
I was quoted 6 hours for this for labor of $1200....

I have the same problem cropping up...2005 with 62k miles...have replaced battery a year or so ago and new spark plug and ignition coils. I charged the battery to full overnight and it is starting up like normal again. I am think alternator cable now vs starter

This was the car in Brisbane right? I was going to pull the trigger on this but you beat me to it a couple of hours on Saturday in offering. I had looked at it the day before.
It was not a Launch Edition however, but a great price. I was kicking myself for not being faster, but I ended up getting a Launch Edition in the end =).
How has the car been running?

Thank you for the info. I have a durametric and it sounds like that won’t be sufficient. Where exactly is this module located?
