Why wud you want to disconnect and reconnect from time to time? That is the beauty of having the on-off dash switch. Either always on or always off.
-
I have the same option on my 03 c4s and had the dealer disconnect the said relay. I have had no problems with my navigation.
Have it done at a local dealer for about an hours worth of labor. It is well worth it, but you may find yourself driving in the 4k-6k rpm range most of the time. This is where PSM sounds best.

Try Griot's "Best of Show" and after, apply their "Speed Shine" for the finishing touch. Both of those products go on and off easily. Great results on my standard black color.

Thanks for all the input. Jeff or Loren would you please give me the part #s for the foam. It looks like I will be spending $800 - $1000 for the foam pads and to have an upholstery shop swap them out.
Thanks again,
Armand

DenVogel,
Thank you for the link. Do you know of an upholstery shop/place in the bay area who can do this? And if so, about how much should I expect to pay?
Thanks again,
Armand

I am looking into purchasing a set of sport seats for my 03 C4S to replace my standard seats. I have found a set but it does not have heated seats. I am pretty sure that they will fit and even possibly do a rail swap to make use of my power seats (fore-aft part). My concern is how do I get the heated part to swap out, if possible? I told seller I would get back to him asap.

BTC,
I have an 03 c4s and recently had the Porsche SSK installed by Jeff (Boxster Guru). I have put about a 1k miles on my car with the SSK and my impressions with respect to your questions are as follows:
1) As Rob said Yes sort of... to a point. The notchiness and increased effort - yes. Having to back off and re-load - no. What I find most difficult is trying to get into reverse or first gear. Never any problems between 2nd all the way to 6th.
2) I don't know if it loosens up or if I am just getting used to it. As Rob said check and follow the TSB.
3) I doubt it. According to Jeff, if it was installed incorrectly - no part of it would work.
4) Thats what I am hoping for.
I personally would not go back to stock. I enjoy the shorter throws and it does not feel loose or clumsy, like stock to me.
Hope this helped,
Armand

Don't hold me to this, but I believe those are "Sportec Wheels".
