Guy (Skidd again) - have a look at your factory option codes, this may indicate if it isn't original.
As Richard says, I don't think you could have the PCM on the 987 without Nav. This was only available on the 997 as i recall.

Keep doors open (windows partially down), keep front boot open, keep key in ignition position 1.
On re-connecting, don't touch the pedals for 30seconds. Open and close windows with a double push top and bottom. Drive a short distance forward to clear PSM faults.

You can replace bulbs individually, no need to replace side marker housing.

Check DMF play.

I retrofitted it to a 987S (both the PCM and the navigation unit to a Bose equipped car), the procedure is almost identical. I like the factory nav, and I think it was worthwhile - but I think I'm in the minority ;)

It's just the head unit. The DVD navigation unit is a seperate part, and not included. To use this, you'd have to find the matching item.

Is there really a 'DVD 1 - PCM 2.1 DVD Navigation Europe 08.2009 - number 997 044 902 50 / 955 044 903 60 T1000-15720' ?????!?!?!
I just bought myself a 05/2007!!!

Look in PET.
Either use the serial number component of your VIN to identify the part (against the chassis information listed against each part), or if you know your PCM part number, find the matching DVD unit that way (identical chassis information listed).
Be sure to fit a part with a matching software level too.
I did this recently to a 987; there's a thread about it here.

Does anybody know what the little miniature horizontal "tray" below the keypad is for? (Left side of PCM2). :help: When you press it, it slides out, and you can push it back in, but I have no idea what purpose it serves. Without a manual it's hard to figure out.
Thanks for any clues...
Its where you place a SIM card should you have a phone module onboard :)
Edit: oops - already answered!

CDC, Phone and Nav are enabled but not yet installed. PCM was retrofitted (previously a CDR-24). Car always had Bose, from factory.
Questions;
- Why are the targets all '/'?
- Why would the Amp not be entered? Is this a PWIS setting? As mentioned, it was always on the car.
- If I were to carry out an update to Level-A\2.1 software how would the update process handle entered, but not found items? Would it just skip them?
Thanks! :)
