Has anyone replaced the motors in the convertible top. I understand that rather than using 2 motors that came w/ thre car that the factory suggests using a single boxster motor. Anyone tried it or have an experience havign it done?
I've had my 95' 993 for 5 years now and replaced the motor 3 times. One was bad when I bought the car and the others went about every 2 years. They run about $1000 a piece if memory serves me correct and the only place in Georgia that I could find to do it was the dealer in Atlanta. None of the shops in central/south Georgia wanted to mess with the top motors.

Worked for me too on my 95' 993. No problems since.
