is that whole plastic above the carpet 1 piece, or can the handle and piece below the airbag be removed separately? how hard is teh install?
also can the carpet on the door be replaced? is it a simple swap?

3. what are the most commons "failure" items on early 996s, and how many miles do clutch, brakes, spark plugs, thermostat, water pump, radiator, fan clutch, suspension parts, battery last? are 996s known to have a weak clutch?
thanks all for insightful help. it's nice to see so many diehard fans. btw i truly believe that w/ reg maintenance and TLC these 996s can last easily up to 150,000 miles or 20 yrs.

can u rate these mods 1-10, 10 being the hardest? and are there online instructions on these, preferably w/ pics and geared towards novices? (have done oil change on non-porsches but that's it)

are 01+ TT brakes & suspension parts compatible in 99 C2? ne1 know how much larger are TT brakes vs C2s' and how much lower the stock TT suspension is? TIA!
