Hello,
I am installing a set of Recaro Profi seats using 996 manual seat rails and Brey-Krause brackets. The BK brackets use the same bolts on the top on the 996 seat rail that attach stock seat to the rail.
Does anyone happen to know the torque values for these bolts: it is two 13mm nuts on front and two T-40 bolts on the back?
I have tried searching every way possible and can not turn up an answer.
Thanks,
Matt

As usual Loren, you always have the answers.
Thanks,

Hello all,
Has anybody attempted to remove the carbon cannister in the front trunk of a C4 based 997? If so, any pointers or tips would be helpful. I need to get the grommet behind the filter to pass a cable to cabin (installing Dension iPod adapter).
Thanks,
Matt

Thanks for the info Loren.
As far as the Aerokit, the car already has the side skirts and I cannot use the Mk II rear spoiler on a cab. So, i was looking for the Carrera wing that can be used with a cab and the Mk II front bumper separate.
Did they ever package the Mk II Aero front bumper, side skirts, and carrera wing under one part number?
Once again, thanks
Matt
Your bumper and spoiler numbers are just the raw parts. Why not get the Aerokit II and get the front bumper, rear spoiler and rocker side panels with all the mounting hardware?Aerokit II 000.044.802 02

Hi Loren,
I need a little help with some part numbers from your magic PET.
The car is an 04 C2 cab.
I am looking for:
ROW M030
Short shift Kit
Painted Rear Center Console (cobalt)
Front and rear seat belts (blue)
By searching old post I found these:
GT3 Mk II Front Bumper 996-505-983-03 G2X
Carrera Wing 996-512-903-00 or 000.044.8-2-04
PSE 996-111-385-04
Can you confirm that those are up to date?
Thanks ahead of time,
Matt

Oh well, i thought that would be the case. I had found an interesting car pretty close to home, but it a C2 without PSM. The car would be my daily driver. As I live in South Florida, severe weather can show up without warning. I am just a little reluctant to drive a 300hp car in bad rain without the PSM.
Thanks for the quick response,
Matt

Here's a question right up Loren's alley. Is it possible to retrofit a 2000 996 C2 with PSM? I would be suprised if you could, but if so, I may have found my new (to me) Porsche.
Thanks is advance for any help,
Matt

I'm sorry, I lied. I'm looking for the MY03 C2 guide.
Thanks again,
Matt

Hello all,
I am new to the forum. I currently own a 94 968 cab. I am looking to add a 996 coupe to my stable.
I have located a car locally that I am interested in, but the owner seems to think the car is a little more dear than the current market would support.
I was wondering if anyone still had a copy of the MY02 Order guide for a C2 coupe. I would like to calculate the factory cost to help in my negotiations.
Thanks ahead of time for the help,
Matt

Loren,
As always, thank you! That was the last piece of the puzzle of getting the seats installed. I'll post some pictures after the weekend.
