Hello Loren,
993 ym 1995. "air bag light on". Part number changed to 996 618 217 02.
Managed to solve the problem on the air bag control unit. Had to use the PIWIS. The display is POSIP and not airbag. Then had
fault code 39 Passenger ,ignition circuit appearing. Also had to modify the setting from only driver to driver/passangers.
Now the airbag light is off.
Thank you.

Hello Mark,
Sorry for the mistake. It is a 993 1997 and not 2005(typing error at 2am). There is a TSB (6863,4/98) and the CU is changed to 996 618 217 01.The TSB talks about the earlier
round diagnostic socket and this car have the newer type.
Hope some have come across this.
Thank you.

Is there an aftermarket repair/service manual available for the Cayenne? Does the dealer sell the original books or CD, and does anyone know the part numbers and price?
Thanks.
There are no "aftermarket" repair/service manuals. There are the Porsche factory workshop manuals, OBDII manuals but Porsche has not printed them in about 5 years. If you want service manuals, part information and more send me an email or PM and can help you.
I have attached a small sample for you to check out.
