Hi
What a PITA. I would try drying it out even more. Or even getting it repaired. It must be cheaper than replacing the whole triumvirate of the CLU/DME/Keyfob.
Best of luck

Hi
I admire you cloth covering skills but ugh on your choice of fabric given the options that are out there! I do like the smokers delete. Have you done the horseshoe and air vents to match the same fabric 🙂 ?
All the best

Hi There
The facelift 986, in my case a 2003 2.7 Tip, shares the same engine and gearbox with the early 987 2005 2.7 Tip. Are the DME's interchangeable? (and alarm and key as part of a set).
Specifically I want to know if the 987 DME will work in a 986.
Many thanks!

Hi
I am in the UK so we have different emissions tests. I have a 1994 993 tiptronic with 185k miles and no major work on the engine or gearbox. The engine does not tap or rattle at all. There are plenty of 993's on similar mileages and original untouched engines so they do last.
All the best

Hi
Some people are doing swaps from the VAG group, straight bolt ups. The Audi 1.8T into Boxsters seems to work well.
