Epoxy is on the turbo engine not GT3
If only, unfortunatly for GT3 this is a very large and real issue, many circuits won't even let a gt3 on if the hose fitting haven't been welded, deffo
needs looking into with these engines.

it's not camber that generates tyre heat, it's toe in or toe out.

thanks for the quick reply chaps...........most helpful.

.........perish the thought of having an Indy or worse an OPC change my plugs, (never comfortable with throwing vast sums at labour time for a retentively DIY job) can anyone tell me the regular plug for the 04 GT3, I know there's at least a couple of brands used but which part number, also would like to use my own tried and tested over the years plug (Denso IK22) which I believe is correct for this engine, any thoughts amongst the Renntech massive....??
-
.......so to replace, just push back on ?? should it lock or click, does the twisting not damage it ??
-
Loren, you're tops, thanks for that.

calling Renntech Massive, just about to fit a short shift to a 6 GT3, the job all seems easy enough, all instructions make sense, except the very first item, removing the gear knob. Where is the 5 mm locking screw ?? after lifting the surround leather and exposing the lever there's no sign of a retaining screw anywhere, there is a plastic tube running down the lever where the leather stops for about 2 inches, it's not under there is it ?? would mean cutting that up, anyone help on this.
Cheers

list of items this one switch feeds:
Front headlights
Front fog
Front side lights (pair)
Front/Rear side (left only)
Front/Rear side (right only)
Rear side (pair)
Rear fog
Rear number plate
Instrument panel light
Light on warning buzzer
-
finally replaced the light switch, beast of a thing, terminals for days, but fixed the problem, including regaining number plate light and park light warning buzzer. I can see my instrument panel now.
-
ah....OK, thanks for your input, I'll look into that switch then.
-
sorry, I've re worded my post, its the dash board light's that don't work, not the running exterior lights. Cant see a single gauge at night.
-
04 GT3 - the instrument dash lights don't come on when switching on the running/head lights, after say thirty or forty minutes driving they will, could this be a circuit board issue, I'm guessing it shares a fuse with the number plate light and they works so not intermittent fuse holder, any where else ?? multi pin on back of unit maybe, perish the thought of trying to find a break on the printed circuit board.
another issue: the running light warning buzzer's packed up, anyone know it's location ??
Cheers

996 GT3 oil temperature

It's odd no one mentions the fact that with a Gt3 oil cooler system the 'oil cooler' initially operates as an oil heater just moments after starting the engine before becoming an oil cooler. This apply's to both the gearbox and engine oil.
