I'm using the Alpine 8" and it is really sweet. I did retain the factory amp and fiber so I can't speak to how things will work otherwise. The only thing i'm still working on is the phone steering wheel controls... kenwood seems to be the only manufacturer that has the full steering wheel hookup for the cayenne. though I haven't given up yet. Again, happy with the alpine, though there are some release 1 issues around system startup that alpine and my installer are working on.

I was experiencing the same level of consumption - I kept going to the deal and they kept telling me it's normal and the turbo's use a lot of oil. I finally showed the dealer the cloud of smoke on acceleration and along with careful monitoring of oil consumption they worked with PCNA to make a determination to replace the engine under CPO. I still don't have a crisp diagnosis of what was actually going on but I'm glad PCNA stood behind the engine. '06 CTTS with 57k on it.

'06 Turbo S. Oil consumption seems quite high and the dealer is investigating. They haven't found anything yet but tell me that it is within spec to consume up to 1 quart of oil per 672 miles (or greater). Seems a bit much to me, curious if anyone else has an informed opinion. Thanks

Any chance you could send me some close up photos of where/how you screwed it in? I do like that below the grill approach!! Still can't believe i'm going to screw holes into my TS ... been avoiding this since i bought the car in January. I'm tired of expecting to be waved over whenever I go through a nyc tollbooth so need to just bite the bullet. Next I'll work on my ezpass which works everywhere but getting in and out of NYC.

anybody have a picture of where to screw into the bumper. 06 TS. I have the bracket and 4 screws but really, really hesitant to do it wrong and screw it up.

It's been a week with my '06 TTS and what a blast - can't remember having this much fun in a long time!! Been reading the boards (and the manual) and really appreciate this community - have already learned a ton.

Anyway, just put on new tires 275/45/20 (Parada Spec-x) and there isn't an option for this size in the tire settings menu. Manual says to go to the dealer if your size isn't there. Has anyone dealt with this and have any thoughts besides following the directions to go see the dealer .

I run yokohama prada spec-x on 20's - they are awsome driving/handling - even great when I tow a 22 foot boat!

I've been thinking about the Spec-x's too. Did you go with 275/40? I've been pondering the 45's for daily driving.

I had yokohama parada spec x's on my landrover lr3 22inch wheels and currently on my cayenne 22's. I have had them on for two years and wear is great. Car rides wonderfully w/ no noticeable road noise beyone oem. I love the tires and would definitely purchase again. Nice aggressive tread pattern as well.

Bought an 06 Cayenne Turbo S last night from a dealer. Car had no spare tire in the back. Was told that the car does not come with a spare and that carrying one is not recommended.

Is this true?

Also what does everyone do for snow tires on this car? Can you go to a smaller narrower rim? a 275/40 20 is a monster of a snow tire.

Just did the same thing 06 turbo s. Car gets here in about a week and wondering about snows or all seasons. What did you wind up doing? I was 6sppeedonline and the yokohamas seem to be well rec'd

Just bougtht my first Porsche!!! I'm having the car shipped to the new york area and wanted to get some feedback on the Yokohama Parada Spec-X. Will largely be a daily driver so looking for comfort and quiet along with sure footedness in the 4 seasons. I'm thinking the suspension gives me enough handling for my purposes so maximizing handling isn't on my criteria list. Not concerned about treadwear (at least for this first purchase).

Also beyond feedback on the tire, would welcome some opinions on size. I'm considering a slightly taller tire for comfort purposes with an understanding that the speedo will be slightly off.

I've got the techno sport wheels, 9" in front, 10" in rear. Thanks!
