  1. The parking assist works fine same as most other cars. At one foot it's a stedy tone, although it can't read less than one foot. I think that it's important given the poor rear visability (directly behind car) espically for the Cab. I know that many people don't like the look of the sensors on the rear but I don't mind them.
  2. I’m very funny, see I combined three things in one. I have a question about break in. My dealer says 300 mi max 4500 rpm, and the manual is 2000 mi limit 4500, what to do? I only seem to be able to upload 2 pictures at a time so I will post again. BTW, I was very active on this board around 2 years ago but forgot my login name so made new identity. 2010 4S Cab Cream White Cocco top Cocco leather Makassar Wood PDK Sport Chrno Sport Exhaust Turbo Wheels and a few other things
  3. Hi Don: THEY WILL DRIVE YOU CRAZY! A couple of years ago I was about to order a turbo and had a complete meltdown. After learning that there is a small 2 inch part between the shifter and the dash and the price for this part in leather was $400. I lost it and just to spite them I cancelled my order and bought a CL63. I have attached the 42 page detailed order guide for the 911 Cab. I hope that Volkswagen straightens this out and simplifies the process. Like other cars there should be option packages that group together stuff. MY10 997 Cabriolets Order Guide
  4. OK OK allready. I'll try for some tonight in the garage. I got the car on Saturday, drove 12 miles and it hasn't stopped snowing. It was a great 12 miles.
  5. I have pretty good information since I bought my car a couple of weeks ago and talked to about 8 dealers about production this year. It appears that production has been cut but I don't know by how much. Two of the dealers that I spoke to had March builds still open. Others had no slots until the fall. I have been told that Porsche ended up not too badly and that December numbers were quite good. Dealers said that a lot of people thought that Volkswagon had always owned Porsche! I ended up buying a car off the lot that was a little nicer than what I had configured at a great price. I'll try to post some pics in a few days. 6. I'm in sales so I'm always a easy mark. I know that I could have pushed for a few thousand more but I have a soft spot for sales people, even Porsche sales people! Anyway, I get the car tomorrow and will post at least some remarks early next week and later some pics. Weather is unnaturally nice for Boston in January, so we'll go for a ride.
  7. The Makassar is on the steering wheel and trim around the dashboard and shift area, not the vents. I was about to order a a dark blue when I learned that dark blue is not the same as midnight blue. Midnight blue has some purple in it and I think nicer than the dark blue. yes, I thnk that the cream color will not show dings and swrils (porsche soft paint) like a dark color and should be easier to maintain.
  8. Larry: Are you getting complete kit or only tips and what is dealer charging?
  9. List $135K '06/11000 mi got $63K. Less than $10K/yr. I think that I got a good deal!
  10. 2010 997 2 C4S Cab Car is being delived later this week. I traded a '06 997 S Cab Midnight Blue/Tan Sport Exhaust. http://dealerrevs.com/gallery/photo.php?id=19036899 It looks just like this picture and I'll post some pics next week. Very excited but I live in Boston so it won't see any action for a few weeks.
