  1. Well I found 2 changes, one is I now have Audio Pilot instead of Dynamic Audio, can my car fly? 2nd I have PCM Surround Sound or something like that. 3rd, I thought I had the strange thing were the GPS sends me to the same street in the same town for certain addresses, but it is still doing that. Anyone want to put in: 251 Broadway Malden, MA 02148 And see if it sends them to Medford, MA? It says Malden is the destination, but shows Medford as the final checkered flag. I have reset everywhich way I can think of, deleted all trips, delete all the last destination and stored ones. I still have to pull the battery. 1-4-8 does nothing good for me either. So I guess I wasted a big chunk of change getting the newer maps and PCM 2.1 Rev A to B platform update. Dealer did a factory reset with PIWIS and that seemed to fix the weird address thing.
  2. About 1300 bux. Wipers, cabin filter, oil change, plugs, engine air filters and go over the car I think. Look at the documents section for the full details. IMHO, go for an inspection which should be 1 hour labor for $129 or so. Porsche should know the cars, so there inspection should be pretty good. Then take to a good mechanic and have them do the major maintenance. Some of the things are so easy it is ridiculous how much they charge. I think to change the cabin filter is 300 - 400 dollars, cost me 25$ for the bosch filter and took me all of 10 minutes. Same thing for the wipers, they will charger 150 - 200 dollars, you can get the bosch ones which are EXACTLY the same for the Touareg for $40 or so and change them yourself.
  3. Can't remember where it is now, but google the cayenne parts manual, its a free pdf from porsche's site, usually you can kind figure out where things are from that.
  4. Dont forget on the 955 you have the turn signal, turning lamps, running lights, halogen and xenon bulbs all on that cable. I think the 957 only had two lights in the head lights. The picture I attached is the cable that goes to the headlight. They dont do the cartridge plug in style connector anymore, I assume because of all the problems they had with 955 loose connections.
  5. So are you saying the lower half of the rear bumper can just bolt on? I would like to leave the upper half the same, and just remove the part that covers the exhaust and replace with the newer valance.
  6. This car has just halogen, no xenon. Your welcome. Yeah some say they dont like the rear bumper, it is growing on me. Still not sure on the front yet. I need to look at the rear light harness too.
  7. And more... and more... And more ... And more ... Last set again to keep in one thread. Let me know if anyone has questions about what the shots are, I tried to get all the connection points... This is a 2010 Cayenne v6
  8. :) Here are the pics, looks like a few more things will be needed, like wheel wells, rear bumper brackets, etc.
  9. whats "loaner" stands for? like borrowed? :) if you have one 957, you can check the wirring for the headlights. I dont currently have them, I'm waiting for them. But its not that difficult to remove one. the newer headlight support is way better than the former one, in design. the part that release the headlight is simplier and tougher. I have received them and they look way better, I mean you wont brake appart that easy this one. I've changed them on the 955 because for some reason they broke - the small "transfer case" broke and I was loosing the front lights while driving. I've seen more than one that had this fault part. So, to release the headlights you will need just a screw driver and you have to pull it away. another thing that you need to keep in mind is that the 955 headlights have trun indicators inside, while the newer ones have them in the front bumper. so far I have discovered that diy jobs needs to be done on the electrical harness. the panells, hope you are meaning the front fenders: there is one part that i've got and didnt put the part number here, will be soon: its a mtal support for the fenders from the upper part. some peoples are just drilling the older ones. I have another thing right now that bothers me, the side indicators harness. I need the bulb support, and I hope I can use the former ones that I have. can anyone tell me if this the code for it: 95561291310. Yeah, a loaner is what you get from a dealer sometimes when you car is in the shop getting repaired. Kinda like a rental car, but it is included with the work they are doing on my CS. Sure I can take a picture of the headlight wiring for you this weekend.
  10. I currently have a 957 v6 loaner if there is anything that is non damaging, I can take a look if you need it.
  11. with your help I have concluded a part list for this conversion. some might not want to achieve the newer CS design and might want to get the GTS looks, but I went with the 957 CS look. this are the parts that I've ordered so far, some of them I already got them. the list is not complete but I'm getting there. I went with the Halogen lamps, instead of Bi Xenon ones, because my car didn't had Bi xenon from factory, so its way easier to make the wires. the list doesn't include, just for the moment, the rear bumper parts needed. I got mine as I showed before, complete. but its just a matter of time. I'll post also the part list for converting it into a GTS or TURBO. Again, THIS ARE THE OEM PARTS FOR THE NEWER 957 Cayenne S or V6. Are the lighting harness completely different than the 955? Wondering what is involved with the Xenon wiring I currently have. Also do you think it is true that you will need to make some custom parts to attach panels?
  12. With the car running, i believe you remove your old Nav DVD, then Insert Disc 2 in the Head unit till its done, then Disc 3 in the Head unit until done, then place the Nav DVD in the DVD drive.
  13. Ok, thanks! I was quoted about 1500, so that sounds right, porsche dealer. Anything else worth doing while they are at it :)
  14. Someone stole your spare I would think. In mine, the spare is just on top of the woofer in the trunk, bolted down. Of course the P.O. didn't bother to put the air-compressor back in, and no I don't have the air suspension. For future notes, the touareg aircompressor and the cayenne ones are exactly the same, touareg one is 75 bux or so vs 150 for the cayenne one. Thanks man. It looks like some Cayennes just don't come with a spare. Found a spare tire installation guide online: Cayenne Spare Tire Install Wow, being stuck on the side of the road sucks, I can't imagine not having a spare!
  15. Did you look on the first page " Owners Suffering from the Cayenne Vibration DEFECT"

  18. So I did the upgrade last night of my PCM 2.1 from software version 2.1 to 3.1 (Main + Trip ) confirmed. The CD did 3 updates, PCM, BOSE, and Navigation I believe. Then inserted my new 2006 Navigation DVD and that did an update to the DVD unit I assume, as it said update next. So what exactly on the PCM head unit is fixed? Better audio? Everything looks the same. I did have a weird problem were some address would all go to a town 15 minutes from my house. Otherwise the system worked perfect and this old issue is now fixed. Thanks!
  19. Another possibility but rare is the drain plugs that are installed when a car is manufactured is missing, could have been knocked off some how or loose. These wholes are all over the body for when it goes through its bath and painting process to allow the liquid to drain out, then later plugged with a large knockout type clip, The whole body is sprayed with a rubber undercoat afterwards. I had this happen on a BMW once, the plug was dislodged, got a little bit of high water during a flash rain storm and it flooded the whole side of the car, had to pull the carpets up and dry it like crazy.
