Are you sure he was not reffering to a HARDTOP for your car? I went to get a hardtop and the Porsche dealer (Main Line Prosce) gave me a price of $7,995.00 (sounds like an infomercial). They came to that price as they would purchase each component of the hardtop seperatly. I went on ebay and bought a perfect one locally for $900.
Rep[laced my CabTop last year for 1,200.00 Total with all parts included.
Cell, sounds like a great deal...you must have done it yourself...if not...where did you take it and are there more of those dealers around? Thanks..Chumly

Great initial question. I too would like to get an extra blade and FOB for my 04 Carrera Cabrio, I saw the blank sword and (Unprogrammed) FOB out there on e-bay (78 bucks). Found a guy in Huntsville who will laser cut the key (free) and the dealer will program the key for 120 bucks. So that is 198 total for a key. Is that a good price?

I went have the same wheel size on my 04 996 and I went to a 19 inch wheels with 235/35 on front and the inch difference in height made ZERO difference to PSM/ABS. That is my two cents...Chumly
996 or Speedster or Roadster
in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)

I own a 2004 Carmon Red Carrera Cabriolet 6-speed. I have bought 2 Speedster emblems, 1 Roadster emblem, and a 996 emblem that will all fit in place of the Carrera on rear. The emblems are all written in Carrera style cursif, all the size of Carrera...which would look best?
1. Leave the Carrera emblem on to not "cheapen" the car
2. Replace Carrera with Speedster
3. Replace Carrera with Roadster
4. Put 996 and Roadster on rear
4. Or put on just 996 emblem (size of GT3 emblem)
Please give me thoughts, impressions...thanks...Chumly
BTW, whatever I decide after polling true enthusiats, I will sell the rest pretty cheap (30 bucks ea)...Chumly
