  1. So where is the parking lite located?

I think you have your light bulbs mixed up. When you turn off the car, your head lights are supposed to turn off. Your parking lights will stay on though - there are wedge/parking lights, and it sounds like one of them is burned out. Its a special size bulb that is easy to replace but can be hard to find. I had to go to the dealership to get it as none of the local auto parts stores had them. I think it is a 5w bulb.

I was thinking just same thing, it must be the parking light and not the headlamp.

  2. Hey Mike,

Thanks for the info. Yeah, in either case, I changed out both bulbs, because I wasn't sure which one was out, but I still have the same problem. So when we turn on the engine and leave the lights on, it's the high beam that is still active?

Ok, it's just not as bright as the regular lights with the engine on, so that's why I assumed it was the low beam. Thanks for helping me clarify that.

Anyway, do you know what might be wrong with it?

    Please advise, Thanks

    DTM

No reason to think that the bulb is the problem as it can only tell if it is getting "juice" or not. But just to make sure, you do realize that the low beam is the upper bulb and vice versa. It is counterintuitive and I've gotten it wrong before.

  3. Hi guys, it's me again.

    I have another problem. I drive a '98 boxster 2.5L manuel transmission.

My headlights work when I have the engine and the lights on, but once I turn the engine off and leave the lights on, only the driver side low beam still works. I've replace the light bulb on both, and still doesn't work. I thought it maybe the headlamp itself that is faulty, so I ordered and new one, installed it and still does not work.

Does anyone have any solutions or know what I could try. Does it have anything to do with the fuse, if so where is our fuse box located?

    Please advise,

    DTM

  4. Hi, hope there is someone out there that could help me with this.

I have a '98 boxster 2.5L manuel transmission. Just the other day, my passenger side window stopped working. When I try to push the button to roll the window down, it feels like there is something jammed underneath it so that I can't push the button. Pushing the button to go up sounds fine and it makes the clicking sound it's suppose to, but the I can't push the down side at all.

Has anyone encountered this problem before, if so what do I need to do to fix it, and/or maybe is there a child safety feature I accidently pushed? Please advise, Thanks

  5. Does anyone know what I need to do to get my front passenger side low beam and signal light to work? I have a '98 boxster (not S) and when I turn the engine on wiht the lights, the head lights works fine, but the front signal light does not work. Also when I turn off the engine and leave the lights on, there is a low beam that stays on for the driver side, but the passenger side does not work. I've already replaced the bulbs, and still get the same problem, I also replace the headlamps and I still have the same problem. Does anyone know what else I can do? Thanks

  6. Hi, does anyone know what could be the problem. I have a '98 Boxster and when I turn the head lights on with the engine running it works fine. when the engine is off, and I leave the lights on, the driver side stays on, but the passenger is off. My front passenger signal also doesn't work, and I'm assuming it has something to do with it as well.

I've already changed out the bulbs, and the actual headlight assembly itself, but get the same results. Does anyone know what the problem might be or have a suggestion. Please advise. thanks

  7. Hi, I'm sorry if I'm not doing this right, but I new to this.

    Anyway, Can someone help?

I just bought a '98 boxster (not S) about a few months ago. The lady told me the remote keys doesn't work. I can only open/lock the door with the key. She did give me all 3 keys. I thought if might be the battery in the keys, but when I replaced them it still doesn't work. I went to a porsche dealer and they quoted me $350 to reprogram the key to my car and that is for each key! Is there anything else I could do?

    Thanks
