  1. What's the disadvantage of using wheel spacer?

Has anyone use it? any feedback?

    Thanks

    Hi,

I have had it on my car for almost 2 years now ... I dont think there are disadvantages (none that I have encountered) ... Many advantages, though the best good thing that I could think of is the looks! add to that the wheel arch extentions and the result is really worth it ... which makes me wonder how come Porsche does not roll them out all looking like that.

  2. I'm thinking of installing these stainless illuminated Door Entry Guards (http://www.suncoastparts.com/product/95504480000.html?Category_Code=955S_Lights) in my car but I was wondering if anyone knows if the lights can be changed... I have a custom made red interior and would have these installed if I can change the light to red!

    Any thoughts?

  3. Cool looking interior...I did that to my Boxster S and want to upgrade my Cayenne also..where and how did you get the red trim? Are they stickers or the real deal and painted parts?

    Thanks..Dave

    Thanks Dave,

I actually ordered the car this way from the Porsche dealer! I think these would fall under the exclusive options. I know a company that does that here, but "here" for me is Dubai, UAE! These r actually the real thing, no stickers, just red trims and red leather.

  4. Does anyone have the instruction on removing the door panel, specifically the inner panel. I need to access the door latch. I am constantly getting false "open door" alarms when the door is closed. It started periodically last week and is almost always on.

    Thanks in advance.

I am not sure if this will help a lot but this is all I could find on removing Door panels:

Well ... I finally did it and ventured into the tunning of my 06 Cayenne S ... and guess what??? it is really fun again smile.gif

I have always LOVED my cayenne since the day I took off the plastic off the chairs ... what's not to love? I spent three months researching on how I should order it and another 6 waiting for it to arrive ... I beleive it is a one of a kind with the amount of details put into it: Black on red interio ... red exterior parts ... most of the option list ticked ... I have never had a dull day ... till I was overtaken by another tuned 06CS ... so I decided that I wont take any of that anymore and did the following:

    1- BMC Sport Air Filters

    2- FVD "Brombacher" sport mufflers

3- FVD "Brombacher" Secondary Cat Bypass Pipes

What I ended up with is a really, and I mean REALLY LOUD cayenne that scares Lambos off the street ... the growl is amazing ... and I can really feel a kick at low revs now ... there is no more lag and the car just jumps off ... I like it a lot ...

Bottom line ... I really recommend these mods.

  6. I have started to hear a cluncking sound when I engage the reverse gear; I thought that might be a unique case but I was surprised that other owners are hearing the same sound. Is this a common issue? and if so, is it normal or can it be fixed?

I also hear a very annoying squeeling sound from the discs at very low speed since the car was new. I have also changed front discs recently yet the sound is still there. Is this common?

I am sorry to have been asking so many questions but I am so happy that I have finally found a forum for Cayenne owners that is both professional and friendly jump.gif

    Thanks,

    Michel

  7. I own a CayenneS 06 that has the option to set three different speed limits in the trip function in the PCM. I have recently advised my boss to go for a good deal on a CayenneS 09 from the dealer but he is now upset that he can not set the 3 different limits. Is this function removed from the PCM3? HE can still set 1 limit in the onboard computer but not in the PCM. Does anyone know how to do that? or is it just a missing option?
