electrical glitch in front boot
in 986 Series (Boxster, Boxster S)
Posted
hello, all!
i have a 2002 yellow 6 spd boxster s, with a hard top.
i love it, and it has been working great! no problems..until..
i just had minor tire repair. the guy who did the repair couldn't find the wheel lock, (which was sitting on the front seat, i might add)
so, the guy didn't see it, and tore up my front boot (moved the spare, etc.) looking for it. <_<
and since then, i've had a problem with the front boot.
basically, the boot pops open, by itself, when i'm driving. so far, i've only been driving on surface streets, not on the freeway.
i also found out that the boot pops open AT THE SAME TIME when i unlock the car using the remote.
(no, my finger is nowhere near the boot button, and it is the same with my spare key !!)
what's up with that?
any suggestions, tips?
thanks!
