Mark,
Thanks for your feedback. I can't really blame Casper for not wanting to deal with all the headaches that might come from selling to end user or providing end user support, especially the Porsche crowd as they can be a tough bunch.
Does this in fact come with a new IMS flange? I'm sort of confused as your first set of pics shows it but your second set of pics do not.

What litigation are we talking about? You guys mean the bearing extractor??
I don't think any of us know specifically and we can only speculate. However we do know that JR has closely guarded his intellectual property and have made great efforts to patent his stuff(and even went after a few people in the process). At this point you would probably have to call the man himself over at Casper to get the low down.

Yeah that's where I originally discovered his kit awhile ago. This is another reason why I think there might be some legal implications involved too.Interesting too that casper fell off of ebay...

Pics of the Casper Labs Installation tools? The removal tool weighs just a couple pounds - not 9lbs.! The install tool is made of ceramic so it does not deform when you strike it. The instructions for the Casper bearing were FAR MORE DETAILED!
I wonder if there was any pending litigation we didn't know about?I find it strange Bill Ryan was very active on this site last spring about this forthcoming bearing initiative but then, all of a sudden, he disappeared ... until this product from his ... Casper Labs.

A couple questions:
1. I know turbo engine mount part number ends in 07 vs 06 for non turbo. I'm having a hard time reading the mounts I have as they have both sets of numbers on them. Can anyone clarify?
2. Are both turbo and non-turbo engine mounts liquid filled? I read that turbo mounts were solid but I don't know if that's true or not.
TIA

I guess I overlooked a second fuse for the alarm so apparently there are two alarm fuses in the normal fuse box and another one in the alarm module under the seat for anyone else that might have this issue in the future. Problem Solved.
-
Actually I came across a thread to check the fuse on the alarm control module under the seat. I didn't realize there was a separate fuse for the alarm so I will do that tommorow.
-
After installing new aftermarket radio, the alarm beeps twice arming it but the door locks do not lock, central door lock button doesn't work, and power windows no worky as well. I checked the fuses to all of them and they seem fine. I took out the whole center console when installing the radio but made sure to hook the switches back up to the proper colors. I left out the brown/blue alarm wire for OEM radio at first but then connected it back to see if that was the issue and still nothing. All door/trunk/hood/center storage switches should be working as it was working before the install. I'm stumped on this one.
Anyone have any ideas on this?
TIA

Please do keep us updated with pics and progress. I'm interested in doing this exact same thing as well.
