Hello everyone.
I've got 2002 Targa. Today i've opened the roof (as usial) while driving to the work.
When i tried to close it i heard some "squize-squiiiiiiize-squiiiiiiiizzzee" sound from the left part of the roof (near drivers head) - it seems that roof guide don't have enough lube between it and car's body (i mean between moving roof and non-moving roof-frame fixed in the car's body)
After that the roof stucked halfway to close.
After 2-3 attempts to move it forward-backward i managed to close it.
so now i've got 2 questions
1. How's bad is it? i mean is it looks like i'll need new sunroof assembly from the dealer ($8K) in the neares future or it's just because nobody (i've bought this car recently) lubed it properly?
2. Is there some kind of manual on targa roof? for 996 or 997 as well - to understand it's construction and what can cause this issues and how it can be fixed.
I've looked thru manuals on http://www.cannell.co.uk/Manuals.htm - but there is no targa related articles (body manuals for 996 describes only coupe and convertible)
Thank you in advance.

Thank you for reply.
I've found the Targa thread on rennlist - http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/996-forum/354582-can-you-identify-this-sound.html
So - there are 2 TSB's mentioned:
TSB # 3/05 6006 Targa Glass Sliding Cover Lift Mechanism Causes Rattling Noises -- dated 3-31-2005
TSB # 2/05 6040 Seal For Targa Roof Sliding Cover Has Been Modified -- dated 3-07-2005 the seal can cause crackling or grating noises.
as a newbie here - how can i get access to these TSB?
