  1. it is DIY if you are capable. On V6 remember 17 wheels will not fit over S or TT brakes.

    Hello All members

Any one know how to do front rear full brkae kit

    Calipers

    Pads

    Rotors

i am upgrading to the turbo kit wanted to see if its easy and safe enough to DIY it

    let me know

    thanks marco

yes understood i have 22" jsut need to get new ones for winter :)

but idk if anyone has a DIY how to replace brakes

  2. What would you guys recommend as a performance upgrade to a turbo s? Has anyone chipped it or bypass pipes?

Anyone in the NYC area have an exhaust done? Id love to hear something before installing it and not being happy with it

well i dont have a turbo but out in rockaway, NJ

the porsche guys there are awsome POWERTECH

    exclusive PORSCHE guys

the exhaust and bypass pipes aswell as evoms air filters are amazing in HP AND TORQUE increase..wish i could put those evoms on mine there sick !!!

    good luck broo

  3. if you are gonna go to that extent then you might as well get the e81 or turbo s brakes

"if you are gonna be a monkey, be a gorilla"

    very tru

how much do you think the e81 brake kit is?

im scared to ask..haha..then i need 20s with winter tires right?

and yes added braking and size is the difference V6 is NOT the same as S TURBO or TURBO S

you can switch the turbo and S calipers becuase there the same size..

keep me posted on ideas ill get some pricing on e81 brakes.

    Marco

  4. ok so i called and got parts and pricing on the turbo brakes $1500.00 for listed below

    included

Turbo front and rear RED calipers

    Front Rotors and Pads

    Rear Calipers and pads

any ideas of how easy this would be to install ?

    seems pretty straight forward.

How many hours would dealer charge? seems pretty simple to do but of course this a brake kit and who wants to screw around with a brake kit...but i do love the turbo caliperss

keep in mind its going to replace V6 calipers

  5. I really hope we can find out who made these i want a set !!!

    :clapping:

OK got in touch with the guy who sold these

They are replica wheels 22" he said he found them on tirerack but were very expensive so he found them on wholesalewheels.com or cheapwheels.com

also said they dont work with TPMS thats why he sold them..(I think you just need to add them and they will work fine)

    Said he paid $2800

also said very heavy 80 lbs

neither one of those websites list those wheels :cursing:

hmmm yea i noticed that once i listed it haha

im at a loss at what to look for ? :censored:

  6. They had to order and install a new speed sensor harness. Now the car downshifts immediately when I tell it to, and no more failing upshifts. They also did a "hand-over" to reprogram everything.

Marco, I do use the paddle shifters w/ PSM off sometimes, but usually I slide the Tiptronic to manual and shift that way (this is my first automatic since 1985).

haha yea tip is awsomee...glad everything is fixed :)

  8. Loren,

Is that mean I need to order the "955 044 900 28 Compass Module" from the dealer and have the dealer input the code with my vin at their end. The dealer should give me another code (decrped?). Then use the PIWIS tester to enter the decrped code to the vehicle? Thanks.

From the way I read the TSB - yes, as long as you have PCM 2.1. It seems like the process is very similar to programming a new key (from the dealer perspective).

    Just spoke to the stealer

looks like they need to add a compass module

plus program the cluster to add compass to the screen.

  9. Can anyone provide the color code for the matte silver trim on the Cayenne? I understand Porsche uses the code 4W9. The problem is, when I use 4W9 to have paint mixed, no one finds the code in their system. I’ve been to Sherwin Williams, Dupont, Napa, and PPG.

I’m hoping that someone has different codes or has matched the color and can provide this forum with paint mixing information. – Thank you.

had some parts painted my body guy matched it perfect !!

  10. TSBs sometimes cover accessory installations (like Sport Exhaust, CDC-4 CD Changer, Telephone, etc., etc.) - but there is not a TSB on the steering wheel.

Perhaps that is because it is covered in the service manual.

There is nothing special about removing the steering wheel - once the airbag is safely removed.

i looked at my wheel but i didnt see how it is remove

no screws or anythign like taht :(

  11. Yes, something similar: PSM off, shifted down to 2. by wheel knobs, then pedal to bottom in order to pass a forward slow car. Up along the other car the car refused to shift up with the result of stalling at full rev. Dangerous!! (only one lane in each direction) The car stopped to accelerate and I used a dangerous long distance to pass.

I have told the Porshe shop, but they say they cant find any thing wrong!? I think there is a mix between software versions of the transmission module and the engine module.

Very interessed to know if other also has this problem, because it is dangerous.

Why do both of you drive with PSM off?

PSM off is good for more power but i would try using tip with PSM on and see what that does

i ahve a V6 aswell and have had hard shifts

(but i also had my ECU reprogrammed :D )

  12. hello

I have tried in the past to remvoe my tail lights to replace reverse bulbs with xenon or bright bulbs but tried and did not succeed...i was afraid of doing body damage..anyone have any suggestions at all for removal?

    thanks

    Marco

Aren't there instructions in the back of your owner's manual?

yes but i have put a painfull (to the body not me haha) amount of effort into remvoing it and it just will not budge
