  2. I'm looking to change the oil in both my 993 and my 04 Cayenne S.

I have always used Mobile1 15-50 in the 993. Do you think it's OK to use the same in the Cayenne S?

    Pros/cons?

I live in the S. California high desert where in the summer, the temp commonly gets into the 100s.

Thats wat i use im in NJ its hott here now :) love the mobile once a year oil change

  3. Hi!

    > Side Skirts jsut double face tape on?

No, you should install metal fixing strip under car and attach skirt with plastic pistons

Front Spoiler easy to install? Yes, just remove original and attach new one, same with rear, square pipes should be replaced on sport double oval.

Rear roof spoiler easy to replace, just need to add two protective films on d pillars.

    >etc etc

    Regards,

    Alex.

  5. Tell your dealer that you are exporting the Cayenne to Canada and need the daytime running lights on. I needed this done as Ibought a US Cayenne, 2 minutes job via there computer connection and headlights turn on and off with ignition. Easy and was free.

Yes but he wants full auto lights...fogs front rear head and tail lamps with dark....my 05 Cayenne No Auto option :(

no bigg deal IMO i like to use the frotn and rear fogs at dusk wit parking lights

  6. How do you mean? i was told need interior parts remove to install rear trim

i am thinkin remove seat belt cover (inside pillar) and then screws must be ther?

Hello! No, inner c pillar trim not enought (or not nessesary, do not remember). You should remove side trims of trunk and d pillars first.

    Regards.

So from the trunk remove the interior headliner? and then what pillars?

can you pm or email me?

  7. Usually because whatever temp it is set at, the heater core may not be warm enough to blow out the air to the vents or the A/C may not be cold enough to blow out the vents yet. Its a good thing, you wouldnt want your AC to blow cold air on you before the heater core is warmed up on a freezing cold morning, would yah!?

Remember, heater uses heated engine coolant to heat the air its blowing at the passengers.

    EXCELLENT POINTS :D

  8. I am not sure you would be able to add a stock one I think its part of one of the comfort packages, what options do you have ?

There is switch power in the overhead console, I have not seen this question asked before.

Unlikely it is pre-wired.  Do not have a Cayenne so do not know if the reading lights are near the mirror.  If they are and all the mirror needs is power then tapping one of those circuits should be easy.

Well, it has a PCM, it also has the rain sensor for the windshield wipers (I believe that's standard for all Cayennes sold in the US, but that sensor probably brings power to the rear view mirror, because it seems to be inter-connected), has a trailer hitch, a compass, that's pretty much it. I can't remember any other option . At the Porsche website it describes that the "Light Comfort Package" is the one that includes both interior and exterior self-dimming mirrors.

not possible i tried this already no good not pre-wired

  9. e 81 kit contains - 4 brake calipers

    - 4 brake rotors

    - 4 air suspension units

    - 2 light alloy inter coolers

    - 4 dust plates ( br. rotors )

    - 4 wheel bearings

    - some small pieces

    - reprogramming DME

    count 15h00 - 20h00 labour

This is only to give you an idea what it really means.

thanks for ther reply. I i understand that the power kit was the pre-cursor to the turbo s. I was just wondering what else besides the brakes makes the difference. The power kit equipped turbo is rated at 500 hp as opposed tot he turbo s rating of 521 hp

thats one badd @ss cayennneee :)

  10. Only the side trim must be removed, replacement rear pillars = approx. 2.00 h. of labour for a experienced person.

Dealer will ask at leas 2,5 hours for rem\reinstall rear glasws only.

Really you do not need remove all windows, C pillar trims fixed on double side tape on surface and two plastic clamps on front edge. From my practice I know no possible to install new part as strong as original one installed, we allways add some glue to adhesive tape.

If you have one glass removed to see inside - you can see how to carefully remove original part and glue new one with pu sealant witout any works on interior trims.

    regards.

    Alex

  11. I had the same problem with my driver's side front turn signal- was intermittent and would blink real fast and throw the famous !. Dealer got me a new bulb- luckily he just gave me the bulb as I didn't have time to stop and have them replace it- told him I'd do myself- haven't done it yet and the bulb has been working now fine for a couple months... now I have an extra bulb- they said it was something you couldn't get at NAPA or OReilly's for example and they didn't have one in stock.

I bet it's a bad bulb or connection with the bulb itself. A trip to the dealer for you...

I think I'll give the bulb switch a try. Sylvania makes a silver one that turns amber when switched on so it's street legal.

I'll update the board if it works.

i ahve clear ILLEGAL ones on mine :D

  12. Thats a lot of cool stuff. Id like my mom to do some stuff to hers but she wont, lol. Why are you selling the 20's? How is the exhaust sound with the bypass? Does it have any resonance, or just a good sound?

its pretty good sound not as deep as an 8 but nice i have one up on you tube (people have laughed at it on here so idk what you think) let me know what you think

i have 2 sets of 20s im selling im a college guy and need to pay for other stuff and getting some cash back for the 20s is what im trying for i kinda splurged if you will on my 1st porsche
