  1. I've had this intermittent problem with the directional bulb light not functioning. Every once in awhile, when I push the directional stalk to signal a right turn, the front directional bulb doesn't blink and I get a warning in my dash. Once I turn off the engine and restart it, it works normally again.

The dealer changed the entire headlight assembly last year for this problem but it's still happening. The last few times, I took it in, the dealer "tightened" the connection, whatever that means.

Any suggestions other than stop turning right?

I notice that the new 2008 models have a revised turn signal light, I'll bet that this is a recurring problem.

have you checked the bulb on the lamp assembly? :lightbulb:

not trying to sound stupid but i have had loose connections on my Cayenne signal bulbs

    are they the stock bulbs?

because 1156 is not the bulb type

  2. I think the issue is finding a convenient place for the remote display that is easy to glance at without having to look away from the road too much and is also convenient for the mute switch. I have the display in my mirror in my Boxster as I didn't like the other mounting locations and it also enabled me to mount my V1 in the back between the seats, I prefer it there so it isn't as obvious to potential thieves when I'm parked.

It's a personal choice, each to their own.

    Chris.

04 CSs had some elctrical issues

  3. We bought it today. 48,000 and they paid off the caddiliac. Plus I got some leather Porsche driving gloves and my mom got a tshirt, lol. The invoice price was 50,000 so I guess the dealership lost money on that deal (stickered at 57). But im not so sure, they are tricky like that. Will take some pics. Bought it with 140 miles.

    very nice !!!

    congratssss

yea i have a V6 im trying to trade mine in for a turbo

  4. Thanks for you response Alex, but I am still confused (It doesn't take much sometimes!)

but what would turn the parking light on (the first turn of the light switch?) , and what is lower corner-sensitive light?

Also, no warnings in the display. I have tried moving the switch to all settings and cannot get the light to come on, on either side.

    thanks

    Mark

    Mark,

haha..the cornering or parking light is the control light for the corner system think of it as a parkling light only a sensor parking light

  5. Both of the Side light bulbs on our 04 cayenne s are out, and am wondering what exactly these lights do? They are labeled "I" in the 2004 owners manual under the bi-xenon lights. and it is just below and to the outside of the main xenon lamp bulb. What turns them on and what type of bulb is it? It looks pretty easy to replace just want to get the correct bulb.

    thanks!

do you mean the small blueish bulb?

    not a low beam

    not high beam

    not a signal

    the other bulb?

  6. My airbag paint was chipping off on the buttons for the radio controls and I was ready to purchase a new airbag since it looks horrible. I have noticed this happening to alot of used Cayennes that I have seen so I mentioned it to my service manager at my dealership and they ordered me a brand new airbag at no cost to me! I dont know if anyone has this same problem but I figured I would pass on the info to anyone that does.

where is ther epaint on the air bag on the cayennes?

  7. Hey Marco,

I like the turbo tips! Did you have to change your rear bumper/valance, or did they fit in the stock rear. Do you have a hitch? I also heard that the bypass pipes sound tinny and rattly on a V6, what do you think?

    Thanks!

    BobbySpeed

First off the valence i changed to turbo one...it was like 200 from my bodyshop guy its nice to have ins :D...have a hitch....bypass pipe is a bit tinny but not to bad wit hthe tips and intake mine sounds nice :D hoping to do exhaust soon idk what i can do though...ideas?

    Marco

I saw that you changed the front end, but is the rear bumper stock?

An EVO intake would be cool, but nobody makes one for the V6.

    BobbySpeed

**** they dont make one for mine..crappo....i spoke to a guy by me to try and get exhaust for a lounder sound and possibly more power..any ideas? you have seen all my mods...so idk what else to do..

  9. Actually, I spoke to you about buying those sport design wheels back in June when you were first pricing a set of new wheels, but I liked the look of the 18" turbos and sport technos better so I passed- we were e-mailing each other very late at night. I am in Westchester.

    oh yess i remember lol

yea still havent sold them lol

soo idk if u knw anyone who wants them im looking for like 1200

    give or take

  10. Hey Marco,

I see you got those Technos we talked about last June. NOS, huh? I would find some NOS experts and speak to them about it- check with the manufacturers of the kits and see what they say about requirements.

310hp? How? According to the Orton website, the ECU package only gives you up to 15hp extra, and the exhaust might give you another 15hp which would bring you up to 277.

    BobbySpeed

    haha

i did a catback which gave me another 25 :) lol so maybe more like 302 ... i guess i need to get it dynod lol i wihs i got a turbo lol

thanks for the help..bobbyspeed where are you from when did i speak to you i apologize i forgot..

PS i have sport design rims for sale i need to get rid of them my garage is getting very small lol
