  1. djben - thanks for jumping in, I looked up your other post on 6speed, interesting!

I had mine installed at an auto shop so I'm going to take it there and try the following:

    1) Run the unit from the side fuse box

    2) Run the unit from the PCM power supply with a power supply filter attached (I'm told its a $25 part approx)

    3) Run the unit from the side fuse box with a filter

I'm also down to try turning off the CD changer. At the moment I get the error message (CD changer not found) every time I start the car which is annoying so I'd definitely like to get rid of it. However, the auto shop told me that if I turn it off then it can't be turned back on (ever). Seems weird, is this right??

I won't be able to take it back into the shop until late August, but I'll definitely keep you guys up to date on what happens.

I'll post on 6speed as well, I'm curious to hear Cartronics' thoughts.

Any updates? I got my mobridge swapped out just to try something and it didn't help.

  2. I am having the exact same issue.

07 997TT. Installed it myself - it was pretty darn easy.

Got a thread going on 6speed about it, I won't link it because I do not know the forum rules here. Someone with a BMW had the same problem as well posted to bimmerpost.

Hmm. My first post on renntech? :)

I am thinking I want to find a new power tap and the issue is related to the tap going to the PCM unit, but I'm not enough of an electrician to go hunting around for the right wire.
