Removal of surrond to PCM1 Unit
in 986 Series (Boxster, Boxster S)
Posted
Hi there.
I have a 2002 Boxster S and have just bought a Solisto 'Extra' unit to allow me to play & charge my ipod.
I need to pull out the PCM1 unit to connect the Solisto unit. I have found a picture showing 'how to remove' the surround for the PCM1 here:
However where it says to 'unclip the switch covers' I was hoping someone could give me a bit more detail as I am very wary of snapping any of the plastic clips. Is it as simple as sliding a knife up the gap and it will unclip and hang down or is there a technique that should be used? Also are there further clips that should be unclipped?
I did have a bit of a hunt around but couldn't find anything specific.
Thanks for any help. :)
