  1. Just tried this out. IT WORKS.... I just jabbed in a wire to test it in the A plug (bottom one on back of PCM 2 pin A3). Called the wife and the radio said TELEPHONE IN USE and muted the radio. :) Ended the call and 2 seconds later radio back playing some tune.

Thanks for your help Loren. When I get a chance I will post up some piks and a write up for those that want bluetooth adapters installed in their cars and the radio to mute. I know its just a lazy way to turn down the volume but it is HANDS FREE after all.

  2. I have looked at the PCM 2 pinout diagram and notice that there is a Microphone hook signal wire on it. Is this were you would tap into for a MUTE feature? I have a IHF1000 that came installed in my 04 CTT but of course it does not mute the stereo. Is there a way to take the MUTE signal from the Motorola unit and hook it up to the PCM? It has the BOSE package with the MOST fiber running to the amps of course. I would just like to know if it is worth buying this cable to have that feature - Bluetooth Radio Adapter

  3. you can also get $20 brake pads for a mustang, hardly a comparison

So you would pay $600 dollars for 2 flanges, some pipe and someone to weld all the parts together? WOW. I am not sure where you were going with the $20 dollar mustang brake pads but you can also buy some for the Cayenne for $40 dollars. Does the dollar amount on brake pads have anything to do with the cost of the exhaust? Not so much. If you paid $200 for these pipes would you still be upset that they did not cost $600? I am SURE you would not. I am just trying to find a cheaper setup since I know for a fact the parts can NOT cost so much to fabricate. Also not sure why anyone would need a mirror polish on these UNDER their car. Stainless will work just fine without it being polished. <~~~ Another reason I am sure people are paying more for these pieces.

  4. The wheels are Asanti AF 132's and they are 22" and the tires are Pirelli Scorpion Zero 285/30's rear and 255/30 front. Not sure about the suspension as I have not had time to look at the car thoroughly (in Afghanistan....wife driving the car for now). It would not surprise me if the car had a controller as the exhaust is Cargraphic and the previous owner was for sure rolling in the dough to purchase some $6K wheels and a $2k exhaust.

  5. Hi, I just bought a 2004 Cayenne Turbo and have some questions about it.

Is the stock BOSE subwoofer any good? I have read that some say its is too muddy sounding. I love BOSE (have a home system) and I know they don't have the concert style tight base but still have a nice sound. Is it worth purchasing this thing from a dealer or go with a custom setup for the sub? The previous owner had an aftermarket speaker system in it and had it removed I guess in place of his setup.

Second, the entire tool kit is missing from the car. Is it worth purchasing the components and getting the jack, tools and whatnot back in the spare tire well area?

Third, I have the original NAVI which I presume is PCM 2.0. I would like to integrate my Motorola IHF 1000 bluetooth car kit into the stereo with Installer.com's radio wiring kit. WIRING KIT The PCM has NO phone buttons so would the PCM still be able to receive a MUTE signal and output the sound from the bluetooth module? Right now it has a little speaker that is OK but I think the MUTE option and using the factory sound system to hear your caller is a much better setup.

Thanks for any help in advance. Renntech.org rocks!

    And the obligatory pic
