  1. I was originally thinking of putting the GT3 bumper on my car but have since thought against it. Hence the change to the Turbo/C4S/40th front bumper.

I know it is possible to install it but what parts does one need to get it installed on a C2 narrow body. Are the mounting points exactly the same for all cars. The 40th is virtually a C2 does that mean the bumper will simply change over?

Also what parts and part numbers are required for this process?

    Thanks in advance

  2. Just before I took delivery of my 02 Cab, I had seen another cab with a spoiler that looked exactly like the Aerokit Cup I rear spoiler. The main difference was it was slightly smaller to allow for the retraction of the storage cover for the top.

I know it exists because someone else has just requested the same spoiler on rennlist and I know I wasn't imagining things. Does anyone know part numbers ?

I also know it was an original Porsche part because it was on a pre delivery vehicle at PCM. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

  3. Jinster,

I just did something similar to my 996 and did it through Weltmeister in Richmond. Give them a call if you want to drop the 986. I think if you want to drop it by 20mm they are doing the change over for about $1200 I think. They are using H&R springs from memory.

I went for the complete PSS9 setup on my car though. I bought the gear through Gert at Carnewall too. Also keep in mind if you want to stay stock the PCM offer is not that bad when you consider what they charge for the install. I paid $1400 for the PSS9 installation but that did require a corner balance. We pay more for goods and services in Australia as there are not that many shops that deal with Porsche out here

    Regards

  4. Costas.

Yes the reverse is slightly more notchy but this requires brute strength to push left then finally up. I can barely get it into gear as it is so I cannot see how my wife will. It is going back tomorrow for some fine tuning.

With respect to the dead pedal, I have a LHD dead pedal just need to pull my finger out and get it machined. I was hoping my wife could do it (she is an engineer at Holden (GM for the yanks :) ) but no luck.

Thanks for your kind words on the interior

  5. After much time and effort of confirming rear centre console part numbers and returning incorrect parts the interior is finally finished.

Apart from the Aluminium look interior change I also had the Porsche Short Shift kit installed. All gears from 1st through to 6th are fine, reverse on the other hand is a nightmare. Need to take the car back tomorrow for some minor adjustments. I can barely engage reverse and my wife has no chance. Not sure what is causing it but I am certain it will be sorted out tomorrow.

  6. Ok then if the part number represents the "new" colour in sport silver and is a soft touch. How does it compare to the following part numbers in colour?

    000 044 802 22 - Instrument Surround

    000 044 802 18 - Door Trim

Both of these pieces have been purchased in the last 2 months

I have these pieces in the car already. And to be honest these pieces dont have an arctic look about them at all. From memory arctic silver has a slight bronze tinge through the paint? My 993 did anyway.

Sorry to be a pain just dont want to get the wrong item

  7. I have been given the following as the "new" part number for the rear centre console kit in Aluminium Look can someone please confirm its validity please:

    Part Number: 986 552 995 09 v03

    Thanks!

Just noticed it is the same part number I was given last time with the only difference being the V03 in the end sorry about the new thread - how does one delete such errors

  8. I am interested in buying a SSK and was wondering where I could get either the Porsche or the B&M at a good price.

I know that the Porsche kit is a rebadged B&M but I think my local P-Dealer will not like the B&M kit. At the same time though I am not going to pay a ridiculous price for the Porsche kit (US$827 in Oz installed)

Am I crazy to expect to be able to buy the kit for about US$450?
