lost code, type 442, serial#y5053968, 24/99.
sorry for posting in the wrong place, thanks rick
Don't recognise your model number as 'type 442', so I'm just gonna assume it's a typing error,
and you're looking for a 4 digit code.
Try 4585 .........

Hi Bruce, thanks for your help but the code unfortunately doesn't work. Do you have another? Thanks so much.
There's no other code for that serial number.
Firstly, I need you to re-check your serial number on the display, if its the same as you've quoted and you've got the radio removal keys,
remove the radio and verify the serial number printed on the label attached to metal casing.
Report on this status first, and I will be able to assist further.

If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so...
Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
Entered the wrong code 3 times (not the one you sent) and now it says Wait... so I can't try your code... know how I can reset the Wait?
Hi RapidMark
Your radio is time locked, through entering the code incorrectly three times.
You need to turn your ignition key to the accessory position (battery light showing in dash), and
power the radio ON, and leave undisturbed, without touching any buttons, otherwise the timer just
resets from the beginning.
Time required to reset is typically one hour.
When reset 'CODE' will again display, allowing you to enter another code.
Any problems, let me know how you get on.

I have 2000 Boxster, I left the headlights on and the battery died.
Traffic pro nav stereo
Model: BE 4773
Serial no: 25005810
It’s 4 digits code and takes only digits from 1-7.
I paid for this online but the code given had 0’s and 9's which I cannot input.
Any help is very much appreciated.
Very odd to hear that a Traffic Pro is looking for a 4 digit code.
All traffic pros I've seen need a 5 digit code, yours would be 23111
I haven't come across your particular Becker model BE4773, but I'm suspecting a possible code
entry problem, or maybe some other defect.
I've sent you a PM, too see if we can discuss this further.

Hi folks,
Bought a 2002 Boxster S but it doesn't have the radio code card. Routine service resulted in a radio lock out, so I would appreciate it if someone could run the following details and generate a code for me to try :)
Becker CDR220
Type: 4462
Serial: 15088827
Many thanks in advance!
Cheers.
Try code 6593 ...............

I've got a 2000 Boxster with the CDR-210 that has locked me out due to dead battery.
I've read through all the procedures - so wonderful to find this forum and it's wealth of information!
Pressing the 8 & 0, I got:
Becker,
R3297
SN: V5017274.
I pulled the unit out, and it says it was an original Becker replacement part, which I imagine is the reason the code the dealership gave me based on the car's VIN# didn't work!?
Any help with a code would be greatly appreciated!
Try code 4950
let me know how you get on....
Cheers.

Some additional information:
Remember, when you enter wrong code three times, the message "WAIT" should appear.
The radio is then time locked for at least 60 minutes.
The time lock is removed by leaving the radio powered on, with ignition key on
(battery light showing on dash), and left undisturbed - without pressing any
buttons during this procedure - otherwise lock timer function is reset from the
beginning again.
Once reset, the prompt 'CODE' will appear, allowing you to enter another code.

The part # is 993 645 104 00
It does not say on the radio who made it, so it could be an Alpine.
However there ia no "-" button.
Thanks for responding
Joe Druding
There is two main methods employed in entering codes across the whole
range of radio manufacturers.
The first method
I call this the telephone entry method.
Where you just enter the code as you would using a telephone.
Say you had code 5461
You would just press the presets 5,4,6 and 1 in that order.
On entering the final digit '1' the code would automatically activate.
The second method
This method is employed by many of the Blaupunkts and Alpines.
Say you had code 5461
Here you would first display the code by using presets 1 to 4
So,
The first digit '5' would be displayed by hitting preset [1] - 5 times.
The second digit '4' would be displayed by hitting preset [2] - 4 times.
The third digit '6' would be displayed by hitting preset [3] - 6 times.
............... and so on ........ until 5461 is displayed.
However, the code won't activate until you press another button.
With most Blaupunkts it is usually the station advance button '>'
------------------------------------------------------------------------
In your case you are going to need to determine which code entry
method is applicable...
So, if you press preset 1, twice and you see the first digit being
incremented you'll know that it is the second method.
I think your radio is an Alpine, because the serial number is not recognisable
to me as a Blaupunkt - hey, I could be wrong its difficult not physically
seeing the radio.
On some Alpines I've come across, they don't display a '0' when entering
a code. They display only digits 1...9 but not '0'.
If you've got '0' in the code - you just ignore that particular preset,
and go on to the next preset, that space will be automatically filled
with a dash. "-"
(Do check first to see if yours displays a '0' by nudging the first preset all the way)
Providing your code entry method is the 'second', and you display your code,
you're going to need to press another key to activate it. That's the key
I don't know. It could be the station advance button or anything. Just
try other keys.
If the screen goes blank or displays 'WAIT' etc, it will be the wrong code.
Hope info helps, if you've not already managed to get the correct entry method..

Bought a CR-1 Radio from a dismantler.
Blaupunkt CR-1
Serial # V40821110B
Got this code from local Porsche dealer 0508
How do you input a"0" ?
Thanks;
Joe Druding
Sure it's a Blaupunkt?
The reason why I'm saying is that the only CR-1 I could find
on my database is an Alpine. PN: 964.645.014.00 (CR-1). Although it's not
unusual for two radio manufacturer's to supply the same
model.
On some Alpine units the dash '-' is regarded as a zero '0'
Other than saying this, I've no specific code entry
instructions on for this model.
