The only part I need to replace is the latch part that you grab with your finger to open the door...right behind the nut labeled #4, but it all seems pretty integrated to the whole thing #2 seems to bracket the entire assembly, which is how Porsche sold it to me. Somewhere in the middle of all that assembly is the lock cylinder, which I think is what I need to swap out. That is, keep the whole assembly along with the latch, and swap out just the key cylinder with my existing one, and then I have the new latch mated to the old lock cylinder.

First post on this forum...I was recommended here by Sunset Porsche.
I just had my driver door latch break. Called Sunset and the only way to replace the latch is to replace the whole lock mechanism ($200+). They don't sell just the latch.
So now does anyone know how to swap the key cylinder out? I don't want to start ripping apart my nice new latch / lock, but I don't want to have 2 keys!
p.s. - For what its worth (maybe $250), if you have the door panels off and your digging around in there, might not be a bad idea to get in there and lubricate the latch / lock mechanism. I'm sure after the all the years it just lost its lubrication and gave up and broke.
