  1. If the outside temperature is more than 40C then the coolant temp of my 05 CTT wanders upwards by up to 10C, this occurs when driving above 130kph but never when stopped. I asked my Porsche specialist shop to check it out and was told that the temps recorded were within normal parameters. With outside temperatures below 40C the needle remains just to the left of the centre line at all times.

  2. No that uncommon. In Dubai all cayennes change fuel filters every 20000 km, due to dirty fuel, they start having problems iddling.

    Different experience from mine; I have had 1 filter change in 182,000 km of cayenne ownership in Dubai. Filter changed on my 2005 turbo at around 130,000 km when I had a fuel pump failure and I am now at 96,000 km on the GTS without a filter change. I've also never had any other fuel related problems.

  3. I'm going in for the kill and will have a write up following shortly after. I'll be changing the thermostat and I believe the high pressure fuel pump is somewhere in the same area. This is where I need some help. If some one can confirm that the (high pressure) fuel pump is in fact near the front of the engine it would save me some time and trouble. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

    the pumps are in fact under the rear seats, you have to lift cutouts in the carpeting to access the covers

    DFI engines have an HPFP in the engine bay.
