Excuse me a beginner's question
Can you see if your vehicle is equipped with a power kit?
Look if this helps.
-
I called yesterday to book a dyno test my car in an "official" center (not linked to any chiptuner) but they have no available slot until Sept.
-
I am a beginner as well, so feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
From outside, if it's a manual transmission C2S you can see it from the middle radiator in the front.
In the engine bay it's easy. The carbon airbox is easy to be identified.
From inside, by the grin of the driver.

Looking to purchase a used 05-06' MY C4S or 911 Turbo. I currently own a 04' Cayenne S, so I am somewhat familiar with the Porsche ownership experience but totally green with regard to 911's. Any advice on red flags or know issues while shaking perspective vehicles down is greatly appreciated.
From my (poor) experience, since I am on my first 911, and considering that I do not know which specs are standard in US.
I'd look for a car with:
Must have
- Manual transmission
- Full leather interior
- PSE - sport exhaust
Recommended
- Powerkit
- Sport seats
- LSD
All other stuff are, for me, simply nice to have.
If you can afford the turbo, go for that!
- Manual transmission

It's rare to find one with the X51 Powerkit option installed
Better not to say to loud that when I found the car I had no clue of what "X51" was.
I've chosen this just because, compared to other I had seen with similar specs, mileage and price, it had a nicer carbon air-filter box

In almost one year I made a few changes to my car
Text is in Italian, but pics should be "self-explanatory"

Tanks again to all of you.
I tried with the 45 deg but it does not help... :(

hi, anybody have a few underside pictures of 997.1 with protection panels mounted?
My garage ramp is quite steep, and I am trying to understand/have a clear picture of how the car is done "from below" :-)
Thanks in advance for your help.
Ciao

Cannot tell you much more than this (various copy/paste).
I hope this is what you were looking for.
Suspension struts (front axle)
The spring strut consists of a double-tube gas-filled shock absorber and a conical spring which in turn is adapted to the different vehicle variants.
The springs have a colour coding which indicates the spring tolerance and/or the chassis version.
Suspension strut (rear axle)
The suspension strut consists of a single-tube gas-filled shock absorber and a coil spring which in turn is adapted to the different vehicle variants.
The springs have a colour coding which indicates the spring tolerance and/or the chassis version.
A single-tube aluminium shock absorber is fitted in order to reduce weight.
The main way in which tyre comfort has been improved is through the use of new support bearings with optimised shock absorption characteristics.
In accordance to the versions, the support bearings (three variants) and the lower spring retainer are manufactured in different versions.
Stabiliser
The stabilisers’ setup in diameter and strength is designed to match the vehicle’s weight and driving dynamics.
The relocation of the stabiliser attachment points from the suspension strut to the wheel carrier has increased the transmission ratio of the stabiliser.
The stabiliser responds more directly as a result, which more effectively reduces the tendency of the vehicle to tilt when cornering.
Sportiness and PASM
The chassis approximates the sportiness of the sports chassis when regulative interventions are made with active PASM
Mechanical rear differential lock
Only available with the sport chassis option.
