I've read that the tiptronic transmission has gone through a few changes over the years, but I don't know the details. From what I can gather a general revision happened in 2007, but I don't know what the details are. Similarly, S models have a "better" tip than non-S, and cars with the sport chrono (and thus a sport button) get faster shifts.
Can anyone clear up the differences for me? Is the sport chrono tip the same as the S-model tip, or are they different? Does a 2006 S tip shift any faster than a 2007 non-s?

Thanks for the help! Does anyone know what the actual changes are? What I really want is a PDK, but I don't want to spend the money. :)
If the .02/.21 changes are just to handle more torque, that's not a big deal to me. What I'd really like are the fastest, most efficient shifts, and if the only way to get that is to get a A87.21 with sport chrono (ie, recent Cayman S), it would probably be cheaper to get a low-end car with PDK.
