  1. Just looked at my post and thought I would update, 1900 miles on her now, after what three months.

my impression now, spent allot of money on this car, most this 51 year old has ever spent on a car.

If I had a chance to do it all over, would I do it again ???

    The answer is YES,YES,YES!!!!!

It is so fun to get up on a weekend early and go driving for a couple of hours with the ipod cranked and a cup of coffee going.

I do turn off the sounds now and then to hear the motor purr, but the sounds thru the ipod I think are great.

Washing and waxing and then drinking a beer and then just looking at it dosn't suck either :D

    No buyers remorse at all!!!!!

    2nd 911

    3rd porsche.

    I am a believer !!!!!!

And that is just in the last three years, Alway wanted one, but could not justify one.

Get out of your own way.

This is not a test life !!!!

    Now Get !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the post Kirk. I just turned 54 on Friday and I'm ordering my Targa 4S on Monday. With my last teenager now driving himself around I'm getting a car just for me. Not that my M3 was a bad choice but I've been wanting to do this ever since I sold my restored 73 911s. I still miss that car! Keep posting - I'd like to hear how your experience is evolving.

    Cheers

  2. My friend bought a 997 CS4 and is looking at the new 997.2 C2S rims. He is unsure if they will fit the wide body. Will he need spacers and longer bolts, or will they simply fit.

Are there separate rims for the CS4 that he should buy. He is new to the 911 and I have only had the narrow body so I can't help him. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks

I believe the widths are the same, but the offsets are different in the rear (51 widebody, 67 narrow). Doing a few searches, it looks like the rears can be mounted but will require 17mm spacers.

    Good luck.

    Mark

Mark is correct. The offsets are different but so is the rear track width on a CS2. Rear track is 60.4 on CS and 60.94 (I believe) on CS4.

    Greg
