  1. My parents have a 2005 CS and the dealer recently replaced the PCM unit under extended warranty due to CD feeding issue. However we later found out that it's a refurbished unit and it still has addresses stored in the memory from the previous owner in New Orleans. Anybody know if refurbished PCM units are standard procedure for these warranty repairs? The dealer claims that Porsche USA only offers refurb units.

    Please advise.

    Thanks.

  2. Hi,

Does anyone know who makes the window glass for the 2005 Cayenne S?

Are all of the windows made by one company?

Asking b/c I plan on buying a 2005 CS. Carfax shows no accidents for this car.

I noticed that all the glasses on the windows are made by one company, but the front windsheild is made by Guardian.

Is this normal? Or is this fixed up?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks.

Most likely it got replaced with aftermarket windshield. 05 CS got a replacement windshield from the dealer when they scratched it by accident.

Maybe you should research if that "Guardian" replacement is up to standards.

    D.
