We just purchased a 2008 Porsche Cayenne S (still under warranty) and as we were driving it home it began to rain...by the time we drove the 3 hours home, we realized that the passenger side floor mats were soaked. When you put your hand up it and behind the very bottom of the glove compartment, you can feel it is all wet. We did a some research and saw that it might be the drain hole that is clogged from debris, however we aren't aware how to clean it out or where to even locate the drain (there are several holes that look all the same). When we called a nearby dealership we were told that if it is clogged from debris, it isn't covered by the warranty. any suggestions on how we can figure out exactly where it is coming from? Pics of where to look? Thanks!

    If its rain water from the windscreen and sunroof drains, the clogged rubber bungs are in the bulkhead up under the wheel arch mouldings (mouldings are quick to take out, sods to put back) one each side. I clear mine after every winter. You can often hear the water "slosh" when cornering if the drains are blocked.

  2. I'm definitely going to check other drains as s preventative measure.

    Regarding my issue, it only happens when the AC is on and comes out on the driver side by the gas pedal

    Just for info - I have had to unblock the drain plugs under the front wheel arches every winter (2003 turbo) due to leaves etc, this year I cut the drain plugs in half to allow larger object to get out and so far no problem.

  3. I have an '03 Cayenne Turbo and my seat controls stopped working. I found a blown fuse (#45). Tried to replace the fuse, but it blew again. There must be a short. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this or experienced this? Of course the seat is all the way back so my short legs can hardly reach the pedals.

    I had the exact same problem, as Loren says the control box under the drivers seat was the problem, it had dropped out of its holder, got crushed when the seat was moved and the loom shorted out against the seat frame. supper glue and insulation tape sorted it. I did read that you have to be carefull of the in-seat airbag if you start un-plugging things so I repaired mine in situe with the seat lent back.

  4. Hi Guys, I have a Cayenne turbo 03 leaking ATF slowly for the last 12 months and after joining the site and reading advice thought I would have a go at topping it up. ran it up to 40" with an infra red thermometer as mentioned and removed the lifting tube plug (larger one) expecting to top it up, lost about 1.5 ltrs before I got the plug back in! I didnt have the engine running and it was in park, would that be the reason for such a loss? left it on the ramp and came away. HELP!
