fpb111,
The old gear lube and the syringe method did the trick! Good call.
Thank you.

RockAuto carries the Uro branded replacement control arm (wishbone) (p/n 99634105316) for $81.79. Thoughts?
Thanks.

My issue appears to be related to the wishbone ball joint. MY03 p/n for the wishbone assembly is 996 341 053 07. I don't know what that p/n crosses to for your MY or my MY00. Also don't know if just the ball joint may be replaced without swapping the larger assembly.

If you don't mind, tjp, share what you find. My 2000 Cab 4 has the same issue on the same corner.

I appear to have a slightly different problem. Of my two fobs, one works. The working fob's LED blinks rapidly. The other, non-functional, fob's LED blinks slowly. Any ideas?
Thanks.

I'm in! Thank you, Loren.
I just purchased a new to me 2000 Carrera 4. The dealer "has a guy" who would "pull the radio" to retrieve the numbers so the code could be obtained. Renntech led me down a better path.

Hi, all.
Any reason why I couldn't get a set of 225/40R18 snow tires on 18X8 rims for all four corners? I'm in Maryland, have driven in snow (not just fake MD snow) most of my life, plan on continuing to do so, and am currently daily driving a 996 C4 Cab. My profession dictates that I run the risk of beating the snow plows to the secondary roads, so skinny tires are my first choice.
Thanks in advance!
Jim
