it ok to find another key say from 2005 to 2008 and have that coded to mine?
Every key has a unique 40 digit code. You need that code to program any other key (new or used).
is it possible to get the 40 didgit code from the key when you program it? how would i go about getting it?

Gents i have just bought a second hand key from what i was told is from a 2010 boxster
inside the key were these numbers
top half........ PA6-GF 30<1 / 09
bottom half.... PA6-GF30< 4
also LKPVIM 244 2298A
i can alo make out the build date to be 02 / 09
i was also told i was unable to code this to my 2005 carera S is this true?
am i not able to code a 3 button key for my cabrio? i realise the 3rd button will be usless for me,
failing to code this 2010 key is it ok to find another key say from 2005 to 2008 and have that coded to mine?
any help would be greatly appreceated

yes the airbag has gone off and i need to take out the top half of the dash to get it retrimmed, by saying top half i mean the entire top like this
has anyone done it before need an idea where all the fastenings are :lightbulb:

My tiptronic cooler has sprung a leak in my 2005 carrera s
does anyone have a guide as to how to remove one of these? do i have to remove the rear subframe or are you able to remove this an easier way?
any help greatly appreceated
