Hello all!
I bought a 1997 Boxster 2 weeks ago and i knew the softop wasn´t working and had to be fixed.
So i started to dismount some components like the transmission(one of the lever got broken),and i didnt noticed it had a major damage in one area.
There is a little ball on the softop mechanism where the pushrod from the transmission conects that is no longer there and its broken.
Now my question is: Can this be somehow fixed ?
Any help is really apreciated!!
Here is a image of it.
What oil is this?Engine or Transmission?
in 986 Series (Boxster, Boxster S)

Hi Guys,
My 97 Boxster is leaking oil, could anyone tell me if this is coming from the engine or the transmission gearbox???
I guess this leak could be the rear crank oil seal??
