That would be great, but I think your over estimating your land speed from the SF Bay to Central Texas (north of Austin). A nice gesture on your part. Guess I can't quite get my mind around taking my car apart. I am one of those owners that opens the door with a soft cotton diaper! Yeah, its sick. Anyway, I'll do it, since the cost to install by dealer is a lot of $$$. So, any general tips would be appreciated and I may get back to you when I get half way and wonder what in the world was I thinking. Thanks -
Can the PSE system be installed by owner in garage? Anyone done this and have advice? Are there detailed instructions and/or phtographs for this installation? Would like information & feedback on: Installation with the on-off button Installation w/o the on-off button This would be for non-Chrono 997. Thanks

My '05 starting having electronic problems the day I drove it home. After many (3 or 4 or 5) visits to dealer, they finally and reluctantly replaced the 'main control unit', and that solved all the problems. -
Porsche Service Manager tells me that history with 997 is showing that about every 1500 miles requires addition of 1 quart of oil. I have 3850 miles and electronic oil gauge shows full. Have added no oil since oil change at approx. 1000 miles. Has anyone experienced the same? Is there history of electronic gauge being faulty? Thanks

Rubber Mats

Received and installed black rubber mats from Brandywine Porsche ($65 including shipping). Manufactured by Llyod. Perfect fit, cut to shape. Look blends with black highlights on door sills & gauges, and with chocolate brown leather. Would recommend for anyone that wants to protect carpet from water and dirt. -
Am still looking for source of all-weather rubber floor mats for 997. Anybody found any that fit floor plan without needing to trim? If not, what mat trims best? Thanks
