I installed the complete AWE system with stock tips and am very happy with the results. The sound is reasonable, the quality of the components are outstanding, and the ease of install demonstrated to me the thoughtfulness put into these products by AWE.
So far it is well worth the money.
Good luck with your decision.

Use new fasteners .The header nuts should always be replaced. Exhaust fasteners can hardly ever be reused.
Loren,
Thanks for the advice. Used new fasteners and the installation was very easy. It was apparent that the folks at AWE spent some time engineering the parts. The only hitch is the mufflers now rub the fender braces. I need to make a small adjustment there for clearance.
Thanks again,
Dan

Planning on installing the AWE Exhaust (headers, cats, mufflers) on my 997S in a couple weeks. Was wondering if there were any hints or suggestions users of this board might offer to help make this DIY install go smoothly.
Thanks in advance,
Dan

I purchased and installed the AWE system primarily to gain the advertised HP and T increases. I was impressed by the quality of the products and how well matched all the components were. The system is working great and I get many complements on and off the track on how the car sounds. I also didn't notice any significant increase in sound volume over the stock system in normal use.
Good luck with your decision.
