I do that at very low speed by lifting the hand brake by just 1 click. That way when I am at a red light, the top goes up or down and car behind me don't wait even if the traffic light turn green before top as finish is cycle.

Thank you Dennis,
I have made up my mind...I won't have it coated. I only use my car in summer time (garage from november to march). So I don't see the necessity of doing it.
Enough talking, I'm calling Darring at FD Motorsport :)

Hi everybody,
I'm about to make modify my exhaust with the Fister mod. I know a lot of you out there have made this mod.
My question is: should I pay for the ceramic coating ? It's a $175 extra. Does it worth it? Did you took that option ?
I would like to hear you on that. Your comment or experience.
Thanks,
Mario

I just push on both "spring" on each side of the unit and pull slowly. I did not have to unplug the unit to see thé label with those numbers

Finally done !!! Here in Quebec, March 15 is the first day that you can use your car without winter tires. So it's out on the sun
-
Maybe but the tip look broken. I'll have a look...
-
Thank you all for your advice
I will get a new cable and it's gone be a winter project to change that cable since the car will be garage for winter time.
One more thing on my ''TO DO'' list !!!

Step one - check for an obstruction under the seat.
Thanks Loren for the fast reply :)
There is no obstruction under the seat, but I found what it look like a small plastic tube with a metal wire in it. One end of this ''tube'' is loose.
Probably a part of the problem ?

Hi, let me describe my problem.
After my wife took the car and ajdust the seat height, I can't lower the seat anymore :( . All the control work (forward/back/front tilt/backrest/lumbar support/memory 1-2) except the back, up or down button.
I can't lower the seat, it is at maximum height. I know there is power because when I push the button downward I hear the motor, but nothing move !
Any clue?
Thank you

Finally went to the Porshe dealer, 15 minutes later I had the code and listening to radio :thankyou:
-
From the Lost Radio code FAQ...
Can you give me a code for my PCM?
These units are manufactured jointly by Siemens and Becker, and the only place where you can get the codes required is from the dealer/OPC. The PCM's require two codes, the ICS/Siemens code and a Becker code. The ICS is the first code requested.
Sorry, the only place you can get a PCM code is from a dealer/OPC.
Thank you very much Loren, I was expecting that ...I will call my Porsche dealer.
For the slot behind the cover on my PCM...what is it ?

Thank you Loren for the info. I'm going to try that today and I will give some news.
BTW what is the slot behind the cover on the PCM ?
Mario
I was nervous about pulling off the carbon trim, but everything went OK.
There is the numbers on the stickers I found:
BECKER
Type: PCM
Model no: BE 2562
Serial no: W5001214
SIEMENS
Mlfb: 5WK7801
Serial: P08010004551/00
Is those numbers enough to find the code to make the PCM work or do I still have to go to a Porsche dealer ?
Thanks
