  1. I think it's funny that 911 owners (especially C4 owners) expect to get mote than 10k miles out of their rear tires. I'm on my fourth Porsche and they have all been the same. 10k on the rears and maybe around 15k on the fronts. I just replaced my RE-11 Brigestones on the rear of my Turbo after 9k miles and they were COMPLETELY bald.. That's just the way it is..(unless you drive like a wuss) you're going to spend money on tires.. Hankook, Michelin, Bridgestone, Pirelli whatever....I'm talking steet use only..

I drive the S*** out of my car (everyday) by the way...

  2. Yes Dntlvet... I need to do something. I have had the car about a year and a half now. It needs something new. My attention span is about as long as my terriers.. :king: Typically at this point I would trade it in and get another car. But I love the car so much..What P car would I upgrade to? Another Turbo? A GT3? No...... So I will give it a bit of a facelift..

I have always wanted my car to sound like it should. Looks like the guys at BBI finally figured it out.. In a few months I will get their exhaust and other goodiess and a tune. Then I will sell the Techart exhaust I have now.. (which is a great exhaust BTW.)

    Can't wait...

  3. Take a look at this Turbo S. It was prepared by BBI Autosport in Huntington Beach CA. After I saw this video I said "I want my car to sound like that!" It's really a beautiful car..

I spoke to Betim that is co owner. When my warranty is up in 6 months I'm going to get their exhaust, GT2 RS intercoolers and an ECU tune.

    Check it out...

  4. Davao City ? Talaga? I spent a lot of time in the Philippines...

What's it like driving your Turbo there? Where and when do you drive it? Only very early in the morning I bet...

I agree with you on the flash and the exhaust.. Worth every penny..

  5. Hello Alex,

I have just done the same chnage I have had a Boxtsre and upgraded to a Boxster S over10 years and absolutaly enjoyed both, Just recently saw a 2004 Carrera cabrolet with 28kb on it managed to tarde in my 2001 Boxster with 40km on it for this with $19k, the trade in being doiuble ehat the dealer offereme against a new one!!!!!!!

Now as to differences, I am still getting used to the 911 but apart from the points already mentioned the ride does seem to be higher on the road and as yet the cornering is different but I think its getting used to arear engine drive with the boxster mid engine it was not an issue at any speed seemingly. I drive with the top down all the time even in winter but initially I do find the 911 to be not as comfortable as the boxster and am looking at gettinga an overpriced windstop?.

Did you know that post was 6 years old?? Just sayin...

  6. Please see this link. http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic/40376-looking-to-buy-new-exhaustwant-something-catless-loud-any-suggestions/page__fromsearch__1

Only more power very top end. And you will lose drivability and low end torque. It sounds horrible unless you like your beautiful Porsche to sound like a rice burner. Dont do it. My opinion. I did it and hated it..
