  1. If it's a 996 Carrera then no.. Not too sure about the 996 Turbo. If you want a short shifter for your 997 TT get the OEM Porsche version.. Try Sunset or Suncoast Porsche for a price. I have the SS and love it..

  2. You mean that yoiu want to alter a program yourself? Or do you want the programmer to alter values you have pre determined? No ECU tuner is going to allow you access to his progarm. I have a good suggestion of a company that will work with you.. PM me..

  3. Wow... That's actually quite high for and 07 but they gave you a nice price for the Z06. So I guess it all works out.. Please keep us posted on the new toy.. Based on your other cars I know you are not going to leeave your TT stock. Stay in touch. I have learned a lot about good mods and bad mods for these cars. You can start with a good ICU tune (Promotive, Softronic, Evoms) a good freeflowing exhaust with 200 cell cats (Europipe, Tech Art, Fabspeed) and porting (much cheaper) or replacing your headers. This will give you a nice 80 -100 hp gain. Lots more on race gas...

  4. Awesome.. Those are some beautiful cars that you have owned.. You are going to love your turbo. I have had mine for two trouble free years .. I have a Promotive tune and a Tech Art exhaust. I also lowered that car recently. I will probably keep mine for another year and get an 08 or 09. Can I ask you what you paid for the 07? Please keep us posted when you get it.. It took a lot of b***s to send your Z06 off like that! Wooo Hooo! A new Porsche for you!

  5. Frustrating that you dealer can"t solve the issue. You may want to contact Porsche and convey your problem.. That is too new a car to have an annoying rattle. I would insist that it gets repaired by the dealer. Even if they have to install a whole new freakin dash.

It's THEIR problem...You shouldn't have to be trouble shooting it yourself..

When I have issues with my dealer I annoy them to the point that they just want me to go away....And they know I won't go away until they fix my issue.

Good luck.. I hope you get it sorted

  6. I cooked my first Alfa in the '60s by doing just what you did so you aren't the only one.

OTOH, I've owner 2 Boxsters and they were the most reliable cars I've ever had (owned at least 30 cars over 54 years). I define reliable as never stranded me and spent almost no time in the service bay except for routine scheduled maintenance and replacement of parts that wear out on any car (belts, O2 sensors, etc). I was fanatic about maintenance.
