Hi Loren -
Would appreciate your help on getting my radio code. I moved my car to Europe and don't have radio card. Battery was disconnected for shipping - I forgot to check code before I left.

Hi y'all,
I just exported my 2000 986 from Houston to Netherlands successfully. I have an apt with the inspection agency this week to move the registration process along, and I know one thing that they are going to hit me on is the side lights. Currently the lights come on with the headlights, however, in Netherlands they must be used as indicators.
Is this a wiring or a programming issue? Reason I ask is that I rang the Porsche dealer here and he immediately said that the car needed to be fully reprogrammed, and was going to charge me 300 euros for the pleasure. I have spoken to others I work with who imported BMW's, Mercedes from the states and they had no requirement to re-program the engine.
If it is wiring, can I do this myself, or is it complex enough to take it to a shop?
Many thanks in advance.

Same thing happened to me on the weekend. Last week, CEL came on just before I filled it up. CEL went out after another 20 miles so I thought no problem. Came back on during a long drive saturday (300 miles), and I got nervous. It stayed on until yesterday when I filled the tank, it went out. Weird.
If it comes on this week again, I am going to have my mechanic take a look.
I have just had the MAF replaced, so the other things I thought it might be is the O2 sensors.

Loren,
I tried both along with 5009, 5011, 5003, 5013. None worked. Any other hints before I approach Becker (or keep going through the odd numbers)? PS checked the type and serial using the TP button and it matches the above.
Thanks.
