What do you want to change ? Without a PIWIS you can't anyhow.
No, for example VAG-COM allow connect via K-line and change coding of instrument cluster, as Belt gong on/off, C/F degrees, Ml/Km etc, but codings looks like a figure 00993884, change one sighn will change coding, but not so clear what exactly you change - You should be experienced in this procedure. Meantime this programm usually no connect to PCM via CAN and not allow change codings there (add or remove equipment? country settings, etc.)
PS Everybody should check connector pinout before try))
-
Anybody knows or use any hardware-software equipment, allowing to read values, and the main thing to change codings of Electrical system, Instrument cluster, PCM on 2003-2006, and 2008 Cayenne? Thanks a lot!
PS Durametric does not allow all needed features.
-
Should route wires in front doors, and sometimes switch iluminated sill in control unit coding with piwis.
-
I has same trouble only once before. control unit for backlit lamp was broken, electronic workshop fix problem in 2 hours. unlucky, no original spare parts to repair PCM.
-
Just curious, if the new style tail light set (2008) will fit into the old Cayenne (2004) ?
I like the new design, and hope to swap my old one with the new style. thanks!
Different shape, and will be better replace rear control unit because LED lights works different.

http://wup.defa.com/en/ - Greetings from Europe. Not OEM of course. Here is also no such option from porsche.

Thanks Alex and Loren!
:renntech:
Great! now follow to dealer)
я тоже люблю реннтэч)
-
One more time - You need to find a shop or Porsche dealer(OPC) with a PIWIS and ask them to program it for you.
Dear Loren! probably PCM retrofit manual will help Ermil 77, at least fix trouble with buttons? Do you have this info on your site?
Alex.

2.0 and 2.1 - hardware version, check tray under front passenger seat for dvd drive for 2.1 system)
-
Yes, you can do it, use original parts, remember all turbo has headlight washers (?different cover shape?) and parking sensors, also turn lights, which you can connect witout any error messages on inst. cluster. We did this once.
Regards.

You can connect any MIRROR PICTURE NTSC Rear camera to PCM 2.1 easy, but you need to reprogramm PCM@dealer.

Hi!
> Side Skirts jsut double face tape on?
No, you should install metal fixing strip under car and attach skirt with plastic pistons
Front Spoiler easy to install? Yes, just remove original and attach new one, same with rear, square pipes should be replaced on sport double oval.
Rear roof spoiler easy to replace, just need to add two protective films on d pillars.
>etc etc
Regards,
Alex.

Unless someone has a third party unit , I would trade your car in for one that has it, it will cost you as much to have it fitted and wired. The Cayenne has VIN specific wiring (to save weight ..sic) so a major comfort control unit, wiring and dealer PIWIS programming will be required.
I am guessing $3k minimum
My V6 has that option.. Came as part of the "comfort Pack" option
3K...Lovely...Anyone know of a aftermarket fix?
I know)
3,200
)))))
I'll try to replace original switch, will report later.

Hello,
I am looking to replace a stock Becker unit on My 05 Cayenne with Pioneer with nav ,any issues I should expect? I was looking for adaptors but where is no any, maybe VW adaptor work? Thank you in advance.
Mike.
HI ! What kind of adapter you looking for? face plate (never seen) or electrical can adapter for wiring (suggest you try one for latest audi)? Do you have amplifier installed in you car, do you like one din folding screen on double din size?
regards.

How do you mean? i was told need interior parts remove to install rear trim
i am thinkin remove seat belt cover (inside pillar) and then screws must be ther?
Hello! No, inner c pillar trim not enought (or not nessesary, do not remember). You should remove side trims of trunk and d pillars first.
Regards.
-
Only the side trim must be removed, replacement rear pillars = approx. 2.00 h. of labour for a experienced person.
Dealer will ask at leas 2,5 hours for rem\reinstall rear glasws only.
Really you do not need remove all windows, C pillar trims fixed on double side tape on surface and two plastic clamps on front edge. From my practice I know no possible to install new part as strong as original one installed, we allways add some glue to adhesive tape.
If you have one glass removed to see inside - you can see how to carefully remove original part and glue new one with pu sealant witout any works on interior trims.

Has anyone retrofit their Fogs to Xenon? If so, which brand did you go with or could I just use a BMW, Mercedes, Porsche Ballast, ignitor and etc?
I put HIDs in my fogs 10000K JDM Ebay 250.00 set
I recomend you 5000K to match original xenon in headlights.
in some cases you will need something to avoid error messages.

Look at post before - opt.code help - where 2 0bb also) Let me check some, but i think 0bb is only antiroll bar, and I do not know why shown twice.

Alex

especially if the dealer installs.
I'll be sure to post results(and any other Qs I'll likely have along the way).
Installing and programming full kit should cost about 7,5 hours, but will take full day, may be more.
Not to expencive, and you need reprogramm some units after install. Some wirings should be modified, some connectors should be attached to cpecial housings, etc. Reccomend make installation in official workshop.

OK, just so I have this straight, the PCM 2.1 Retrofit kit will fit in any Cayenne since the "optical waveguide" (I'm assuming that this is the fibre optic cable) must be ordered and installed with the kit? This cable type runs only from the DVD drive to the head unit?
Yes, correct, you can install PCM2.1 Retrofit Kit in any Cayenne. You should add optical lines to DVD-rom unit under front passenger seat, this is very important to get correct cabels with same pins (old and new style pins on ends of optical links present) and all links with terminals to connect devices in the ring, if you have amp, etc. OR just two cabels from PCM to Navi if you do not have any optical cabel in car.
Regards.
AS I REMEMBER KIT INCLUDE ONE OPTICAL LINK AND CONNECTOR HOUSING, check @ shop before ordering.

Hi! I think no, because 12KM and 2005. As i know warranti on discs works first 5000 km in europe, and in this case dealer should make a lot of measurements, then try to cut surface with special device, then replace discs. Let me know if some will be else in your case, please. Was a lot of problems with TT or TTS, never V6.
Regards.

Diagnosis equipment except PIWIS?
in 9PA, 9PA1 (Cayenne, Cayenne S, Cayenne Turbo, Cayenne Turbo S)
Posted
I am not about entering codes from ipas to activate some additional features, I just would like to have similar PIWIS menu to change country coding in PCM2.0/2.1 for example.
