Hi!
The Porsche CD had the following contents:
Volume: CD_4328
Date 1. July 2003
db: gall - 44.21.314.2.86P1 for Porsche
voice: IX12CR 8 Dezember 2000
sw: IX12CR: PONA642D
idis: PO0543N + PO0385N (Telephone 5.4 + 3.0)
My PCM readout(press bottom right knob with A/C screen displayed) shows:
PCM/IDIS V5.43
Nav Software Ver PONA642D
Thanks Nic, most helpfull
Database UK/28204776
The (only) important info is the Nav Software Version. It MUST be PONA642D. And this version will be installed with any of the 2002 Navigation CDs from Porsche. So if you already have this version the Opel/Vauxhall CDs will work just fine. If you have an older version you will need to get a Porsche CD to upgrade your PCM. That's it.
And the Opel/Vauxhall CDs you need are the ones for Siemens VDO.
Why I know this? I did this upgrade by myself just some weeks ago ;-) (Porsche 911 C4 Cabrio 4'02).

Christian
baby seat in a 996

Hi!
Sorry, no pic right now but some more info about this topic! We have a 2002 996 C4 Cabriolet and we bought the original Porsche baby seat as this was the only one which fits just perfect. The base is much less wide by special design than all other seats and it comes with the deactivator for the front airbag.
So it was absolutely clear for us to buy only this one. Our daugter likes the seat and she fits just perfect with her age of 5 1/2 and she's 4'2" tall. She still uses the back of the baby seat and it works for her.
If someone is interested I wil make a foto...
Bye,
Christian
