Wish they would do this for the older system. or at least let us download the maps so they would work.
Well, I doubt they will go back to PCM 1 or even PCM 2.0 as some of those are 10 years old now.
As an example of how helpful they are.
My car is just over 3 years old; the telephone module is no longer stocked, and no longer available. Porsche told me there is nothing they can do, I can’t have a phone in my car, and, if I fit an aftermarket system my warranty will be void.
Luckily I am a 911 Nut and not too bothered, but this is how they loose customers I am sure.

The other week I was talking to a Porsche mechanic, who works for a UK Main dealer.
He said that he had seen a FEW leaky RMS on 997 GT3 / RS. He says that they either seem to leak from new, or not at all.
If its dry after a couple of thousand miles, thats the way they seem to stay.
I think many more stay dry than leak, but that never gets reported. So for the record, mine is bone dry. 2007, RS with 13k miles.

GT3 and RS differences - The Definitive RennTech List
in 997 GT3, GT3 RS
Posted
I might be able to help you out with a couple of these.
2. Wider track is achieved by the Wheel Offset. ET 68 on the GT3 and ET 51 on the RS.
3. Body is from the carrera 4s apparently, but I have not looked to see if it has any pick up points for the front diff ?
7. I think the Diff is the same. Motorsport diff is different but not standard.
9. Weight difference in the UK is 1395 Kg for GT3 and 1375 Kg for the RS.
11. Do you have the plastic rear window, Rear cage with optional front cage. Extra lip on the front splitter. No door storage and less airbags, although this may be the same on both. Fire extinguisher and Harness as standard on RS.
Hope this helps.
