  1. I can confirm that running within the limits on a motorway although I do about 17mpg (UK gallon)

What model do you drive Roli, and do you measure this from the on board computer, or from the petrol pump? as I get 23/24mpg in my Cayenne S - according to the trip computer.

PS - Are you using flash lube machanical flash lube / electronic / multi point electronic?

Also, do you have a link to the good price lube?

  2. I didnt even realise this was supposed to work, as its never worked on my 2004 cayenne.

Is there a certain fuse or another common reason this might not be working?

I have to slam mine shut with my palm for it to close properly.

    Thanks

    Ger

Looks like the "closing aid" circuit is not working.

Fuses to check are in the dash right hand side fuse panel.

Fuse #30 is 20 amps and supplies power to the "closing aid motor".

Fuse #31 is 15 amps and supplies power to the "rear comfort sysytems control unit" which controls the motor.

    Good luck.

Many Thanks! I will let you know how I go...

  3. two things to point out here:

    1. LPG has less energy content than gasoline.....about 25% less actually

    2. We bought not just Cayenne's, but Cayenne TURBOS.....if i wanted good MPG i would have bought a 4cyl....i bought a CTT for big power, large tow capacity, and space.....do i like paying money for gas? No.....but i pay to play....not i hate more than people who complain about gas prices that own an SUV.....

All I heard was 'blah, blah, bah blah' ;)

  4. The spark actually travels onto the white ceramic then to the ground electrode. It's said to keep the plug cleaner with less chance of fouling.

Well in that case, on my OEM plugs, the gap measures 2.1mm (0.085"). Can anyone explain that if the gap is recommended by porsche to me 1.6mm?

As a thought- could this be the reason people are getting cracked plugs, due to the electric trying to find a place to go and findinfg it easier to go through to the engine block rather than to bridge the plug gap?

a quick question - does the wingmirror of a touareg fit a cayenne? as im trying to source a replacement,

also, does the wing mirror come for sale in seperate parts from porsche so I can just replace the damaged bits.

Lastly, would this fix my shell problems:

    Help!

  6. Ive removed the plugs & coils before (no cracks weirdly!), is it only a few more steps to get the inlet off?

Also, if I did remove it, would I have to buy a new gasket?

Im pretty sure from my photos that I do have the metal pipes, but I was hoping someone else who has been through the same would have weighed in with some confirmation.

here are some annotations of what I think im seeing:
